Hotel Riu Palace Meloneras

Great Hotel !!! Especially the pool and the food!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Riu Meloneras. The breakfast and dinner buffets were extensive, with a great variety of food to choose from every day. The swimming pools were beautiful and offered plenty of space to relax. Our room was spacious, clean. The hotel had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday

Repeat guests at this fabulous hotel - sixth visit and always pay extra to have seaview room at front of hotel grounds / the views are stunning and the area benefits from a beautiful adult only pool - terrific service from Pier around the pool and manolo in the magnolia restaurant! The food is consistently outstanding and no problems at all getting tables at any time we went for meals. Reception staff extremely helpful - cannot fault this hotel - we’ll return

Hotel is excellent if a little stiff and lacking atmosphere Staff are brilliant at being normal people looking after the ＞70s guests who are mostly in bed by 10:30pm Leadership need to check their diversity guidelines though! Who selected the statues outside Rosas bar?

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff are so very kind and cannot do enough for you from front reception to the amazing waiter service. We will definitely visit again. Thank you for such a wonderful holiday food top class and everything was spotless. Rooms spacious and beautiful great views. Never short on sun loungers great towel service.

Really good experience and would happily use this hotel again. Yes the age profile is slightly higher than some resorts but that was a positive for us: quieter, with a more mature group of holiday makers enjoying a great place to recharge their batteries. Plenty of pool space: particularly at those nearer the main building (which also enjoy the benefit of a breeze) Food in the buffet is plentiful and nicely prepared. There is a really nice promenade at the front of the hotel and a lovely long walk along the promenade and beach in front of the dunes if you turn left out of the seafront entrance (just be aware there is a lengthy nudist area) We found the staff to be attentive, polite, helpful and very efficient. Can understand why people say they have returned.

This was our 3rd time staying at this beautiful 5* hotel, the last time being 8 years ago. Could not fault anything about this hotel again. Beautifully maintained large open space grounds with plenty of sunbeds at each of the lovely pools. Wonderful staff and service exceptional. Food is excellent with a wide selection and freshly made. Love the fact you can dine outside. We booked a standard room but on arrival was told we had been allocated an upgraded room. Will definately be back at this hotel again in the future.

The hotel whilst aesthetically pleasing falls short in a number of areas. I completely understand the appeal for the more mature clientele but for those in their mid term years I would caution against and suggest alternative RIU resorts on the island. The gym has very limited equipment targeted at those who want a token gesture towards exercise as the facility lacks the variety of equipment required to perform full muscle groups during your stay. The service is very poor and almost self service rather than table service (currently waiting 50 mins for someone to take a non alcoholic drinks order). The food is mediocre unless you enjoy full fat food and water as a hidden tax served at your table. Would recommend Riu Palace Palmares over this resort 10 times over or even Papyrus (only 4 star). Only 2 days in to this stay and left me questioning the decision to book RIU!
