A good surprise. After a bike walk in the forest to Nemours, we were blocked in Melun following a train failure. It was impossible to go in one direction or in the other and 56km bike to go back to Paris, we didn't feel it. I do like Ibis Melun. It is a nice little hotel and I slept fairly well. The room is small, kind of standard ibis. The hotel is clean. I managed to get to the hotel via bus from Melun train station. The bus cost €2. There are super markets and fast food restaurant new the hotel. So it is fairly easy to get supplies. The only issue is taxi. The taxi driver recommended by the hotel does not speak much English. He depends on text message for google translation. And he is almost a bit late even if booked several hours ahead. Breakfast was good enough. Comfortable stay. If I ever come to Melun, I will stay here again.
