The Rambler

Nice stay room floor and couch was not clean.Also shower drain was a little backed up .Besides that great stay

The Rambler is as pictured. It is very clean in the common areas and inside the unit. We parked on the street every night with no issues.

No way to get help So much is good about this place, but there is no recourse for the problems. I booked a room for myself and my 2 kids. It took a LOT to convince my son that the hotel amenities made up for sleeping on a sofa bed rather than a real bed. But it's not a sofa bed: it's just a sofa. I called support, who said there were no other rooms but someone would contact me about a discount. No one has. The next day, my daughter and I went to the pool. It's gorgeous! Easily the nicest one on our trip. But when we tried to leave, it turned out the hotel had turned off our code, even though it was not our checkout time yet. We called support. Spent 20 minutes trying different codes, none of which worked. They ultimately said they would tell the housekeeping company (who were currently on-site) to come let us in. No one ever came. Eventually we called support again, and THAT person gave us a code that worked. Meanwhile we had been standing around wet in our suits so long that I missed a work meeting. It's a great location, but I would very much hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Has private equity vibes.

The parking was horrible and how big the rooms was it was very echoey and to here people walking above us

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rambler. There was free parking on the side street next to The Rambler. Numerous restaurants were nearby and Cozy Corner served up some awesome dry rub ribs, potato salad, baked beans, banana pudding and caramel chocolate cake. It felt like The Rambler was right in the heart of things with The Civil Rights Museum and other museums, food, and Beale Street all being close by. The heated pool was a special treat for our kids. We stayed for 4 nights. The first night a group on our floor was incredibly loud off and on throughout the night and into the early morning hours. The Rambler provides white noise machines and they really did help, our kids never heard a peep. Aside from that one night, our stay was super quiet and uneventful.

Excellent find! We stayed in a studio, and it was more than big enough for the two of us. It had everything we needed, and the quality of materials in every aspect, from the furniture to the bedding to the bathroom and beyond, was surprisingly nice. It was great being so close to the Civil Rights Museum, which is a must-see, and our meal at Central BBQ was phenomenal!
