The place is absolutul beautiful. A bit far from the airport but still easy to access with a taxi. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast very divers, the hot springs are absolutely amazing, definitely choose the option that includes hot springs. What we appreciated the most were the personnel - so kind and helpful and the surroundings are a true peacefulness oasis! We would all go back in a heart beat! If you plan a trip to this area- this hotel is far from the traditional visiting spots so you might wanna take 3 days just for that area and for the peace it will bring to you, than move to Jinghong to be closer to the well know spots of Xishuangbanna.

We had an enjoyable 2 nights stay in this resort. The facilities and amenities were good. What we liked best was the Hotspring that is located near the hotel. You can walk or take the shuttle golf cart to the location. In there there were several pools for everyone’s leisure. When we went it was not too busy. I had the whole pool all to myself. The breakfast was also good but mainly local dishes. We opted to eat somewhere nearby for dinner and lunch. There are a few restaurants near the hotel that you can walk/bike or take the shuttle golf cart to. They do have a few bikes that you can take for free to roam the area. The pool was quiet but we found that it lacked workers to help with items such as towels, cushion and other pool supplies. Overall, I recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet vacation away from crowds.

Great location in Menghai and comfortable rooms we enjoyed our stay. Hot spring was lovely and you have great access to a large park next door. Although the buffet has room for improvement it's too busy and food options were average, which isn't good when staying in a remote location.

Beautiful resort! Like a cruise ship, but on land. The food at the breakfast buffet was great with cereals, typical Chinese breakfast options of fried rice/lo mien/breakfast noodles, eggs, fruit, yogurt, coffee, pastries, and waffles/pancakes. Dinner was great, too, and we found that going a bit earlier helped to get fresh food and avoid holiday crowds. Patrick, the general manager was amazing and so kind. He stopped at a fair amount of people’s tables, despite being very busy during CNY, to make sure everything was ok. The room was awesome. We overlooked the golf course. Mornings were foggy and crisp. Evenings were full of fireworks and we had a great vantage from our 3rd floor balcony to see many of the smaller displays. Our housekeepers were amazing and added nice touches each day such as extra coffee, towel art, and a fresh bit of bath salts. Around the resort there is a lot to do from day hikes, a soak in the hot springs, golf (when the course is open), horse rides, jet skiing, and swimming. It was too chilly to swim in the outdoor pool at the hotel but the hot springs were perfect. Just a quick note on the location of the resort - it is about a 45-minute drive from Jinghong. Some people we talked to didn’t realize that and thought that the starlight market was close by. DiDi drivers were readily available so getting back into the night market area wasn’t a problem. For general things, we also had a lot of help from Echo. She was lovely and gave us a good idea of what do around the area.

This has been such a wonderful stay! The hotel staff were so polite and friendly in every interaction. Dana, one of the receptionists, added me on WeChat at check-in and messaged to ask if there was anything we needed each day of our stay! (My Chinese speaking skills are not great.) The room was very clean and our balcony overlooked the pool. The breakfast buffet offered many options. The hot springs were very relaxing and there were many outdoor pools of varying temperatures, so it did not feel crowded at all. There's a wonderful 'park' about a five minute walk up the hill with a hiking trail that leads to the top of a hill/small mountain and offers a beautiful view. Very peaceful and relaxing. There are a number of hammocks and swings on the way to the viewpoint. There are also other places to walk, nice viewpoints, what looked to be an obstacle course, a pink sand area, and more at the 'park.' We chose to eat our dinners at nearby restaurants - there is one affordable lakefront restaurant about a fifteen minute walk down the hill that we liked a lot. The hotel has several golf carts that depart/arrive from the lobby entrance if you want them to take you to the hot springs or the restaurants area. You can call the hotel and they'll come pick you up as well. Although this hotel is not close to the main Xishuangbanna tourist attractions, it is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for fantastic service, beautiful facilities, and a relaxing trip. I would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful view of the sunrise if you choose a room on the east side of the hotel. Highly recommended. At dinner in the restaurant they ran out of the affordable bottle of wine and the next one available was triple the price. We kicked up a bit of a fuss and surprise surprise “found” a bottle. Although not natural, the hot springs are worth a visit.

The hotel and the room was very spacious and clean. The facilities in the room were excellent and I had a beautiful view from my balcony. There was a lovely pool and sunbeds to relax. The breakfast buffet was extensive and there were vegetarian options. The staff helped to arrange a taxi to the airport in the morning, and there was always an English speaker on reception. The only negatives were at dinner: it took over half an hour for us to get our ordered drinks (and when the cocktails arrived, they were sub par). We also asked for a bottle of wine which they said was out of stock (it was the only reasonably priced one before the bottles got VERY expensive). After asking for an alternative (and this was difficult with a language barrier), they 'found' the bottle we originally asked for. In the end, we waited 1.5 hours for our food because of all this, but when the food arrived it was tasty. It's also quite cold in the restaurant during the winter months because the doors are all open and there's no Sun or heating.

I pleasant stay in a great location. Tonnes to do in the surrounding area. Exceedingly clean rooms and great front desk service. Special thanks to the restaurant staff who really made the trip enjoyable.

The hotel is very old. The bathhouse we stayed in reeked of mold, even the quilts. Much of the furniture was damp and rotten. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and uneven. The toilet was an old-fashioned one, and the lid, despite being so old and broken, hadn't been replaced yet. It was already frayed and yellowed, which was a bit disgusting. The washed stone pavement in the bathhouse area was also noticeably moldy. The wooden platform was rotten, and I almost fell when I moved the bench because there was a pit underneath. The breakfast was very poor. There was basically nothing left, and it was all empty. The bread area was full of small flies. The staff was very friendly. It's a shame for a Banyan Tree hotel. It was the first time I stayed in such a shabby one, and everyone was very disappointed.

It's a rare day off, so it's really a good choice to come to Banna on this day. Since I prefer natural scenery and self-driving, I chose Menghai as my first stop. Banyan Tree Hotel is definitely the "top brand" of Menghai. The tone of Banyan Tree is a perfect match with the environment of Banna. It takes about an hour to drive from the airport at night. After arriving, the concierge will start to help with the luggage from the door. The front desk is assisted by a handsome guy from Tangshan named Carl. Carl patiently explained the check-in precautions and various services provided, and added WeChat as a 24-hour butler. Any questions are always responsive, and they are replied in seconds, which is very considerate and convenient. It is worth praising that Carl called to confirm the itinerary and check-in time one day in advance, and arranged the night bed service in advance. The hotel is very attentive. It folded two towels into a unique elephant shape in Yunnan, wrote a handwritten welcome card, and gave two bottles of Pu'er tea drinks, which really makes people feel very happy. There is a small card for pillow selection at the head of his bed. I chose a latex pillow and a buckwheat pillow. When my aunt saw the card the next day, she specifically said that the latex pillow was very soft and asked if it was acceptable. The details were great, which can illustrate the work style of the hskp supervisor. The buckwheat pillow is really comfortable hahaha. The hotel is like being built in a tropical rainforest. As soon as you come in, you will feel relaxed and happy. The terrace in the room is very comfortable to eat while watching the scenery during the day. This kind of beauty cannot be expressed in words. See the photos😄

This hotel is in Menghai County. Although it is far from Banna city, we drove here and just came from Jingmai Mountain, so we stayed for two nights. This is a resort area with a very good environment suitable for leisure travel. The facilities and equipment are very complete and the stay was very pleasant. The only regret may be that the mini bar is empty. Thanks to the housekeeper Lucy.

The room on the fifth floor was arranged to face the swimming pool. The view was very good. It was very beautiful to watch the clouds during the day and the stars at night. The supporting hot spring swimming pool was great. All the staff, including the front desk and the concierge, were very friendly. In particular, I would like to thank Wang Lei, the front desk, for hand-painting an umbrella for the baby after learning that the baby missed the activity of hand-painting umbrellas because of taking a nap. In addition, the travel photography provided by the hotel was very good, and the makeup and photography were great. It is recommended to take photos in the hot springs, which are very good.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was attracted by the beautiful and quiet environment. It was clean and tidy everywhere, full of greenery, and the atmosphere was full. The room was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave! The mattress was moderately soft and hard, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, allowing us to sleep peacefully. I was particularly touched by the service of the housekeeper Lucy. Not only did she take the initiative to help us upgrade the room type, but she also thoughtfully prepared soothing essential oils in the room. All kinds of needs were responded to and met in a timely manner. It really felt like home! Every detail of this stay can feel the hotel's care. I sincerely thank all the staff for their efforts! I can't wait to recommend it to my friends around me, and look forward to coming again next time!
