Hotels near Glorieta Los Heroes 2, Merida

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre. The facilities are perfect, the catering service is also very good, and the other services of the hotel are also very good. The hotel has complete supplies and is easy to use. The overall sanitary conditions of the hotel are very good. I am quite satisfied with this. I still wanted to live for two more days, but the room was booked by someone else. I couldn’t continue to live and I had to change to another hotel.

Likes - We stayed in Hotel Boutique Casa San Angel one night only. The hotel is beautiful, when entreing the internal courtyard feels like you entered a jungle, with loads of tress, plants, birds... magnificent really! The room was on the first floor, it was spacious, beautifully decorated (ne of the best we have seen, really), provided with fridge, air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also very big, clean, and the shower probably one of the best of our 14 days tour around the Yucatan peninsula The wi-fi worked perfectly. They also have a secure parking 5min. from the hotel. I was a bit concerned the location was a bit far from the city centre but actually we realised that this is not very far (about 20min walk). The streets between the hotel and the city centre are actually full of restaurants and cool bars, so in reality we had a lot of choices for dinner just round the corner Improvements - I think the breakfast could be improved in regard to quality and quantity. Personal suggestion is to not book the breakfast at the hotel and head out to the nearest cafe, you can have much more choices and more value for money

I discovered this little hotel on one of the travel websites. I was unsure about it because knowing people have different expectations of what is good for them and not others. Here is my honest review with pictures. it is in just the perfect location 5-6 city blocks from the main Plaza in the centre of town. This means you are outside the noise zone. The walk to town to the plaza is completely straight so there is no chance of getting lost. LOL The room is and has everything I need to be comfortable. Mine has a king size bed, a flat screen TV, a safe, open closet with hangers, 2 side tables, free bottles of water and more water in the lobby. A window, air conditioning unit, a compact bathroom that may put some people off because of the, let's call it ”coziness” of the size of it. For me I am over 5”9” so I am tall but still for me I was fine. This hotel is immaculately clean, the rooms are spotless, the staff are fabulous and will guide you what's on in town, where to eat, tours, you name it they will guide you. They are lovely beyond and feel like family. There is fresh coffee in the lobby all day and night and a roof top patio with some hanging lights with a lovely breeze because Merida gets hot. The only thing I would like is a small fridge in my room, and maybe I will put my request in. The reason I say that is because this is my second visit here and I have already booked my third stay. For the price, the location, the cleanliness, the kindness of the staff there is nothing else I need to feel safe and be happy. I can spend all my time concentrating on Merida what to see and do here.

The Wayam hotel is ideally located for tourism at the well known Colón Ave. near down town, just a couple of blocks away from the new convention center. Rooms are beautiful and wide, very comfortables, just make sure you are not facing the avenue as traffic’s noise comes up. Pool on the 4th floor has a beautiful view but too cold. All personnel is very friendly but still too new and untrained for the hotel standards. Still, too new to be great and a bit overpriced but Management is eager to improve.

Stayed 2 nights here. Here are the pros and cons. PROS * LOCATION - The Zocalo is only a couple of hundred meters up the road so this was in prime location. The central ado bus station was within walking distance although for memory was about a kilometre and a half walk so you may want to consider a taxi. * AIR CONDITIONING - Worked well * HOT WATER - Worked * WIFI - Worked and didn’t drop out CONS * NO NATURAL LIGHT - Our room had one window which opened onto the communal corridor so there was no natural light. This was not advertised at time of booking. * SECURITY - The large window that opened onto the communal corridor couldn’t be locked. This meant when we were out of the room someone could easily just open it up and get into our room. I was very uncomfortable with this and made reception aware. They sent someone up to fix it but it wasn’t fixed when we returned. I noted the room opposite ours had the same issue when I tested its window. * NOT CLEAN - When we went to use the pool there was a thick algae bloom and scum on the surface. It was not swimmable. * NOISE - This hotel seems to have a relationship with large tour operators. As such large groups of people come in the afternoon and leave early in the morning. They made a lot of noise in the mornings when they would leave and this went through the walls. Overall we weren’t happy with our stay and wouldn’t recommend this to others.

I stay in this hotel twice ! Very good and the staff very nice Big size and near downtown have many restaurants in there and many taco shop can eat ! Very good 🌈

ACHTUNG DIESES HOTEL BEGEHT BETRUG WARUM? Die Zimmer sind zum großen Teil alle Tag und Nacht durch laute Maschinengeräusche im Gebäude gestört, an Schlaf ist kaum zu denken, da diese plötzlich lauter und leiser werden in der Nacht. Das Schlimmste: Das Personal weiß davon und vermietet die Zimmer (alle Zimmer nach hinten hin) zum gleichen Preis. Der Manager lässt sich mehrfach verleugnen und auch die coolen Mitarbeiter von booking.vom lässt er eiskalt ohne Einsicht stehen. Danke nochmal an booking an der Stelle für die Hilfe. Lage: Das Hotel liegt auch nicht zentral sondern ca. 10min von allen Sehenswürdigkeiten entfernt in einer miesen Ecke. Lediglich der Ado fährt gegenüber ab. Das Frühstück kann man sich sparen. Einzig gute an dem Hotel ist dass es LQBTQ Mitarbeiter unterstützt. Ich kann dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen. Reine Abzocke.

The location is a bit complicated if you move by transport. It has a supermarket nearby and the convention center opposite. Generally friendly and helpful employees. Breakfast ok. Very comfortable facilities. There is a mini-bar in the room, which on this occasion helped me to have some food since, due to the contingency, there was nothing open nearby to eat and the hotel only had breakfast service. The price is really much better in this app than direct at the hotel, practically 1/3 per night.

I stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of my trip to Progreso, February 28th and March 30th, as I was arriving late and departing early. Both of my rooms were impeccably clean, the amenities were provided and well stocked with towels. The closets are huge and contain an iron and a safe large enough for a laptop. Upon my first check-in I was advised the hours of the restaurant and was politely asked that if I was planning on bringing in food or alcohol from outside to please consume it in my room and not in the restaurant. This is not an unreasonable request, one would not walk into a hotel restaurant at home and sit down with a pizza and six pack. I had a comfortable night's rest and a delicious breakfast at the restaurant in the morning. Check out was noon and my ride was not arriving until 2:30 so they kindly stored my luggage and I enjoyed sitting by the pool while I waited. My second visit was for my return flight, I checked in just after 3:00 and was offered a wake up call and arrangement of a taxi to take me to the airport. I spent my last day of vacation enjoying a late lunch/early supper and a couple of cold beverages poolside before heading to my room to turn in early. My wake up call came precisely @4:00 and my taxi was there @5:00 as requested. I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it, the staff are outstanding, the hotel is spotless and the restaurant food and service are fabulous. Masks were required at all times in public areas, unless you were eating or drinking, this policy was adhered to by all staff and guests.
