Clean room and very friendly and accommodating staff going above and beyond

Very disappointing lunch. me and my friends visited the hotel earlier in the week and I have been debating writing a review however….. they seriously need to improve! The wait on the food was ridiculous we waited for nearly 40 minutes for our mains. When our main course dishes arrived they were like warm at best it’s a shame as the quality of the food wasn’t bad. The poor waitress was very apologetic however you could see her managers just stood near the laptop not helping at all. The only reason I rated 2 was due to the poor waitress doing everything herself. They seriously need to improve and I shall not be returning. Hopefully you take this seriously and improve your ways.

The hotel was shocking. Initially I thought it would be basic but ok, there was the smell of fresh paint. However ordering food was a challenge from the bar, and it was average at best. During the night the fire alarm went off twice for short periods, the rubbish lorry was emptying bins full of glass at approx 5am. So coupled with the dripping shower and sagging mattress it was the worst night in a hotel I’ve had in a very long time. When I checked out and complained I was told the alarm was faulty. But they couldn’t switch off for safety reasons. So why wasn’t I warned so I could make other arrangements? Avoid…

With an excellent restaurant and bar operated by well trained, polite staff, and ample free parking, this place offers excellent value for money. We stayed overnight ahead of a visit to the NEC, which was a 5 to 10 minute drive away. The hotel/motel itself is due a face-lift (think 1990s Travelodge), but the room was clean & tidy.

Booked at table in advance. Seated near trays of food leftovers from a previous function in the conservatory. Piles of half-eaten sandwiches were left on view. After ordering our food, three other tables of guests were seated. After two hours we had only been served a few starters and saw the other tables being served before us. Another table near us in the same predicament and left after two hours of waiting. Nice pub and beer garden but the restaurant is poor.

We just came for food. A special occasion for our family on a Sunday. Service was friendly and attentive, and the roasts were great! We had a lovely time and was terrific value. I have I use at least 200 characters. So I am now using all my characters

Absolute shower of sh*t, painters giving the place what has to be the cheapest makeover they can pay for. Paint all over my clothes which was bad enough until we discovered that there was no hot water in the room, we then spent the next 4 hours being told that it was being fixed, it never was. Promised a refund which has never materialised. Awful customer service and on top of that a very expensive bar. Read previous reviews and decide your self's don't get conned into the name strawberry bank. A more Apt name would be compost dump.

We booked into the hotel for 3 nights but unfortunately had to leave after just 1 night. As reviewed by others here the mattresses were basically a bag of springs, completely unfit for purpose. When pulling back the sheet to examine them we were horrified to see that they looked like they may have been there since the seventies! The paper thin walls provided us with some entertainment however and we feel we know the people in the next room intimately now! If your thinking of staying here, do yourself a favour and book into the Premier Inn, that's 5 minutes away as we had to! We followed the refund process outlined by the staff and after giving them the chance to respond and hearing nothing back, we've felt the need to leave this review to warn others.

It was our first time at the Strawberry Bank for food, I have to say this is a little gem! The server was polite and attentive. The food was incredible! My husband and I had the Pork Belly and I have to say is one of the best variations I have tried. My husband also commented on how perfect it was Will definitely return.
