Mermaid Beach Park View

Don't expect much, just a place to stay. A well worn bed, mattress showed were 2 people skeeped. Lounge low to ground and not comfortable, kitchen was old. There was no ice tray and no microwave cooking equipment or storage.

This block of units is in serious need of a renovation and update. Location to beach and shops is great. Fittings and furnishings are old and shabby.

Affordable Older apartment, but comfortable. No lifts. Spa did not work but the sauna was very good. Affordable

We stayed in a unit which was possibly equal to a unit from the 1940s . The furniture was more like furniture 100 yrs old scratched and paint chipped off. It was extremely short of even bowls to use for cooking . Only thing good about it was it was close to beach and near a park.

I have stayed at many RCI resorts in Australia and overseas. I have usually been delighted with the resorts and happy to tell friends and family about them. Unfortunately, this was not the case with Mermaid Beach Park View. I would not want to return to this resort.

Room was adequate for two people, location is good for transport including Tram and Bus terminal and Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. Only short walk to Mermaid Beach and nearby surf clubs. Our unit and possibly the complex is in need of a “refresh”.

Really enjoyed our week long stay in unit #16. Staff was friendly and welcoming and stored our bags for us when we arrived early. Unit was clean and very well equipped. Backs into park and is next store to an amazing Bakery cafe called Bam Bam that you must visit. 2 blocks from the beautiful beach and a 10 minute walk to Pacific Fair mall. 5kms from Surfers paradise. Would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again.

Everything was an additional cost including toilet paper, teabags, instant coffee and the dishwashing powder needed to wash the dishes to avoid a $55 cleaning fee.

We enjoyed our stay here it was cosy. There was construction next door but that did not affect our stay at all. Could barely notice it. Place was very comfortable and tidy. Bam Bam cafe next door was a bonus and a short stroll to the beach. The only thing I could fault was shower water was temperamental between hot and cold.
