Howard Johnson by Wyndham Merrillville

Absolutely could not stay here!!! Place is horrible apone arrival! Trash everywhere, trash outside piled up so high you can’t get lids on,windows busted, roof hanging in one spot, fountain nasty in front and doesn’t work! Only reserved this hotel for the pool. It was boast and not working. Been trying to get my money back but hotel will not!!!

It was awful Shower didn't work

When we arrived the property looked abandoned.  The grounds were full of weeds and trash. We went to check in and we went to our room and found filthy furnishings, no baseboards, the tub was black with soap scum.  The breakfasts were meager at best.  There was no working ice machine and the pool was dirty and closed.  We could go on but being part of Marriott we would expect much better.

Great experience.

Was funn

I was supposed to have a king size bed that was not a king size bed. The sofa bed that was in the room was real dirty look like it had bedbugs before they tried to switch me to another room that sofa bed was the same way the hotel is not the way it is presented online the morning when I woke up to take a shower the showerhead did not work. I had to stand up and take a bath.

This place is is under new construction so they don’t tell you that once you arrive. The hot water in the bathtub was extremely hot so there was no cold water to take your shower. They are very short on towels that they supply you in each room so you have to keep asking for dry towels and wash rags to take a bath.

I don't know why this place is even listed! It looks abandoned. I didn't even bother checking in. If the inside reflects the outside, I wouldn't have my worst enemy stay there! To make matters worse, I couldn't cancel.....absolute waste of money.
