The hotel near to Dataran Mersing n room just ok. Staff helpful n friendly. Parking free provided by the hotel just infront the hotel. Beautiful beach surrounding with small food stall. No deposit when you check in to the hotel.

This is my 3rd time coming to Hotel Seri Malaysia Mersing. Always love coming back to this hotel. It had a great place in my heart. Cherish every moments while I’m here.

The hotel room just ok. Ac not so cold. Parking is free provide by the hotel. Staff hotel is friendly n helpful. No Public transport AT the hotel area. Near to Dataran Mersing n Hospital Mersing.

Very bad hotel. All facilities such as toilet, shower Area, amenities, iron Board were not in good condition. The toilet was smelly, same goes to the whole room was not properly maintain. The floor was not being moped and the kettle still has water from previous guest. There was stain on the bedsheet, the sofa and also the curtain. It was a nightmare and it really feels humiliated with what has been paid. Not recommended to all guest that hoping for good ambience. I felt everything was not hygienic at all. Hopefully the management of Hotel Seri Malaysia will take action. My room was 114.

Just like their rating..very old hotel..old room..maybe no upgrade/refurbishment from the opening..room and toilet a bit smelly..breakfast just ok..just good thing about this hotel is their location and parking..

I prefer lower-floor rooms because there's no elevator. But then again, the walk from the parking to the room is also quite a distance. Oh well, it's better than nothing.

Very disappointing!! Room is filthy dirty with black spots on pillows, door is mouldy and toilet is the worst! Super dirty with mouldy tiles and sink. Even the towels and floor mat is not washed properly. Hotel totally run down. Hope the management will do something about it and not just accept booking and disappoint those who stayed here

Was kinda disappointed in the cleanliness of the toilet and bathroom. Although the price is reasonable but the facilities and cleanliness are below average standard.

Staying here in Mersing recently brought back a sense of nostalgia. The hotel still provides family-friendly facilities and warm, adequate hospitality. Check-in was smooth, staff were polite and accommodating, and the location is strategic. Close to eateries, the jetty, and essential conveniences. It’s a suitable stopover for families or travelers on their way to Tioman Island. That said, the building and furnishings do show their age. Some fixtures and furniture could benefit from refurbishment, and certain areas would feel more welcoming with better lighting or fresh paint. While everything functioned as expected, maintenance feels minimal, and the overall experience leans more toward “budget comfort” than modern accommodation. Overall, it’s a simple, nostalgic stay that delivers the basics well. Ideal if you value practicality and local hospitality over luxury. With some updates and maintenance improvements, HSM could easily reclaim its place as one of Malaysia’s trusted family hotels.

It was beautiful, tidy, and clean. The staff were good, and check-in was quick.

Is an old hotel . Overall still ok . The breakfast cannot make it.

Very dissappointed, not worth my money. Cleanliness very poor. I made my reservation here coz i thought that its impossible they didnt take any action over the soo many bad reviews about cleanliness. But believe me, yes they never take serious action about it. Toilet very very dirty, bed n pillow covers seems like have been use n not change, coz got stain everywhere. Curtain also got obvious stain everywhere. Thats y i said they didnt take any action about the bad reviews.. And the bonus for us is, the aircod not functioning well..we are deadly hot in the room..

This place has a swimming pool though I never use it. It is old thus unfortunately it has those old room facilities that are out of maintenance. Come with its own car park so no parking issues. 24hour check in and check out, we could leave early to catch the early morning ferry. It serves its purpose as a stop over place before continuing the journey to another destination.

The room wasn't pleasant. Mostly the room is very old, the toilet - sighs (repaint). The room we stay in is so dark, the ceiling wall the paint are falling off.
