The hotel room is just ok with the cold air conditioning. The staff hotel is friendly and helpful. Parking is free provided by the hotel just in front the hotel. Easy to get the food and drinks around the hotel.

Growing up, we always stayed at Hotel Seri Malaysia, so coming back here definitely brought back some childhood memories. Unfortunately, this time I was quite disappointed to see how much the hotel has aged and how poorly some areas are maintained. The first room we were given had bed bugs, and I actually got bitten. I requested a room change and thankfully, the staff responded quickly and gave us another room. The second room was much better. The air-conditioning worked amazingly well — probably one of the best things about the room! 😂 It also came with a small fridge, which was really useful. But the bathroom was quite sad. It didn’t feel properly cleaned or maintained, and there was visible mould in some areas. It’s also very small, compact and definitely showing its age. The furniture is also very old and worn out. Even the ironing board looked like it had been there for many, many years and honestly wasn’t very pleasant to use. Location-wise, it’s alright. It’s not really within walking distance of town, but the beach is just across the road. There’s also a good steamboat and nasi lemak place right next to the hotel, so you can easily walk over for dinner. They only open in the evening though. The swimming pool could definitely use some attention too. It didn’t look clean enough for us to feel comfortable swimming in it. I genuinely hope Hotel Seri Malaysia will consider upgrading its rooms and facilities. This hotel holds a lot of nostalgic memories for people like me who grew up staying here, and with the name “Malaysia” attached to it, I really wish it could be maintained at a standard we can be proud of. It has the location, the memories and the potential — it just needs some serious love and upgrading.

Decent 3 star hotel but condition is quite worn in the rooms and bathroom is quite old.

This is the first time stay i stay at Mersing. Great view of east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Nearby seaside and easy to get foods...

RooThe facilities look old but still in good condition. The location near to the beach. Can walking around to enjoy the panoramic view

The environmental cleanliness is very poor, dirty, filthy, and dilapidated.😓😖🤢 juz look at the pictures😳 very disappointed😫

Sedih tgk keadaan hotel yang uzur. This hotel was once the hype way back around 2001. Time tu my mrsm was the first boarding school, so Hotel ni memang tempat persinggahan family members. Fast forward bila return semula after 26 years, uzur sangat2. Sayang should have maintained or upgrade the facilities. Condition bilik, toilet, hard to describe. But location dan customer service memang fantastic. Really hope the management will take some action please…. Nak amik bilik pun rasa sedih yang amat.

The hotel was just okay. I hope there would be more breakfast options. Satisfied because it was cheap ✌️

I hv been to many Sri Msia hotels..SM Mersing is the worst hotel..Cupboard no doors..toilet dirty..coridors is not kept..paint already peel off Very frustrated with SM Mersing hotel..even budget hotels is much better than SM Mersing..

The hotel room just ok but the AC not really cold. The staff hotel is helpful & friendly. Parking foc provided by the hotel. Easy to get food & beverage by walking distance.

An aged hotel that once was probably great. Amenities and service were sketchy probably suitable for a transit stay short of a better choice. The main saving grace is its proximity to the beach front recreational park

Worst of the worst. Zero cleanliness. Stayed here just to sleep and go to tioman next day. It is a completely run down hotel.

The location is very strategic, i got the seaview rooma which is soo calming. The basic amenities in the room are provided except toothbrush . For the price its offer, solo travellers or transit before going tioman island should consider this hotel. Attached picture is view from my room
