We only stayed for one night after our desert safari but found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our afternoon by the pool and also dinner in the restaurant. The food was great and a welcome change from the usual hotel tour offerings we had had over the previous 10 days.

I was not a particular fan of the desert experience. Way too much heat and sand. And the camel rides and desert glamping struck me as inauthentic. As well as highly destructive of a fragile area. That said, Riad Seria was truly an oasis. Great facility; huge, comfortable rooms; necessary A/C; nice pool and large patio; excellent food; good service. (Hussein was a particularly friendly and knowledgeable server.)

I absolutely love this hotel, it has a great location, everything was clean, the hotel smells so good, food was delicious, our room was beautiful, it has beautiful pool and garden and the staff was lovely. We also spent a night in their desert camp which was stunning! Highly recommend this place when visiting Merzouga and looking for an unforgettable experience :)

One should not see the desert - but feel it ! One cannot experience Morrocco without an authentic Sahara experience - After randomly choosing a full package with this hotel from fez to Marrakech, we had no expectations - however , the whole package exceeded my highest expectation and turned out to be the highlight of our trip - the pros and cons are highlighted subsequently : Pros : - Since the moment our guide Yosef collected us in Fez - he proved professional and knowledgeable, with a gentle personality and in-depth knowledge about the Sahara - he did not persist us to purchase anything , or take us to places that we did not feel comfortable / all the stops became an experience and as the trip progressed it just got better ! I highly recommend requesting Yosef as a tour operator , driver and guide - the package came all inclusive with. 4x4 vehicle - he was a personal go-to person the whole Sahara experience and is available for anything one may need. - the Riad has an authentic feel , beautiful pool , relaxing environment and caters for the temperature. The riad is aMinuet walk from the dunes so one can enjoy sunrises and sunsets or star gazing at anytime from the riad - the decor and interior is spectacular- - the food was delicious - we booked a half board but breakfasts and dinners was 5 courses so there was an Abundance of meals. For lunches Yosef took us to authentic restaurants- I am usually fussy on different cruisine , however in the Sahara the tagine, fruits and gourmet was outstanding, and so much better than in the cities ! - the butler , cook and helper Farajee will take the extra mile to make your stay special - the highlight of this experience is the 5 star desert saharay camp - Farajee prepared us a private dinner after the sunset camel experience and private breakfasts over on the dune for sunrise - this was epic - and Iv never experienced such a authentic , classy and upmarket service in the heart of the dunes - the experience is unique and extra ordinary ! It’s a must do ! I highly recommend it - another highlight was the quad bike buggy driving onto the dunes , feeling the endless beauty of the seas of dunes - it was simply incredible and part of the whole package deal - -Yosef took us through thr Atlas Mountains with beautiful views and lots of different exciting experiences as the trip progressed - the price of this package is affordable and worth the cost for what what was included - I was happy with the cost- benefit since the deal is all inclusive with the best packages - I highly recommend this package with riad Sarai in mezouga ! One cannot do Morrocco without doing the Sahara experience Cons The riad rooms are not as spacious as the pictures , albeit comfortable and clean !

Lovely. Quiet. Right next to the dunes for beautiful sunset and sunrise views. Easy access to the dunes and property is gorgeous. Room was in the main building - wish we’d known to book closer to pool or desert. We also stayed a night in the desert camp, which was amazing.

We stayed for 1 night but I hated to leave. Our room was beautiful, the pool and grounds were stunning and the food was delicious. You could walk right out to the dunes in minutes. We hiked up to a high dune for sunset. My husband went out to the dunes in the morning for sunrise. When we left here, we went for a night in the desert (not arranged by this hotel). While staying in the desert camp was an interesting experience, I loved the comfort of the hotel (not everyone will agree, I'm sure). I would happily return to Riad Serai.

The hotel is new, the rooms are big and comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel is understaffed in the numbers as well as in the experience of the workers, as a result the service will be pretty poor all around. The hall is nice but not air conditioned and even a couple reading room close to the hall were always too hot simply because AC was always off. In an area where temps rise to 45 celsius you can’t turn on the AC one hour before the arrival of the guests, our bed was unbearable and it took us hours to cool it.
