Hôtel Forest Hill Meudon Velizy

Not really a spa, just a non-mixed sauna.

An hour from Paris, the hotel is beautiful, pleasant, and appreciably clean. The common areas are lovely. The initial welcome was good, but I was surprised and quite reluctant to pay a €200 deposit at the reception desk without prior notice (which would have meant I wouldn't have been able to access my room if my bank hadn't approved the deposit), and this at 11:45 PM. The next morning, I received a good welcome, but was informed that the deposit would only be returned that evening or within 24 hours. I've never experienced anything like this, and I stay in many hotels. It's absolutely unacceptable not to be clearly informed during the booking process or before confirming the reservation, with no warning explaining the procedure. You either accept it or you don't. As for the restaurant/bar, I went for a coffee, but not seeing the prices, I asked the waiter. He didn't know and referred me to the menu at the entrance. I didn't order a coffee. It's a shame for such a beautiful place. Personally, I don't appreciate these kinds of surprises and I won't be going back. Out of respect, customers should be informed of this policy clearly.
