Hotel Círculo Condesa

What a great place! The location is perfect for the majority of attractions located in the area south or west of the historic centre, such as the museum of anthropology, as well as the parks of Condesa. It's also close to numerous good restaurants. On Fridays there is also a street market located right outside the hotel from 0800-1700. The hotel is on a fairly major street, so there is some street noise (and noise from the market on Fridays), and the rooms are not well-insulated, so there was significant noise from within the hotel, such as doors slamming and people talking. The room was spacious, and had a balcony overlooking the street and leafy tree canopy, which was pleasant to use for an afternoon tea break. The door to the balcony did not properly lock, however given it's location high above the street, was not a real security concern. There is also no safe in the room. However there was 24-hour security in the lobby and the outside doors were locked overnight (however you could still get in if you came back late as security was present). The wifi was strong in the room. The shower was large and had plenty of hot water. The A/C worked well. There are water dispensers easily accessible and two refillable water bottles were provided. There was a kettle in the room, however no tea bags were provided. You could pick up some extra ones in the breakfast area, though. Breakfasts were included in our stay and the selection of hot and cold items was good. The breakfast was served in a nice open-air terrace ont he second floor. Staff were very friendly and efficient. They were able to organize tours or airport pickup (but Uber works well in Mexico City and they had no problem finding the hotel). On our second stay in Mexico City we chose a place in the historic centre, but wished we had stayed here instead! Condesa is much more pleasant and quiet and does not have the crowds, noise, or predominately bad tourist restaurants of the historic centre.

I like this hotel for its location and proficient, English-speaking staff. Bed was comfortable but the curtain gaps and the morning traffic woke me up two hours prematurely. This was on the 6th floor. Lovely balcony but certainly not suitable for children. The gaps are way too big. Rooms are equipped with USB sockets and full shower cosmetics, including he hair conditioner. Why don’t US hotels think women exist? Everywhere I’ve stayed in Mexico, including a village hotel for 80 pesos a night, had a hair conditioner. What I hate about this hotel is the disgusting synthetic perfume coming out of the perfuming humidifier in the lobby. Please, either use a 100% natural fragrance or switch this nonsense off. Why pollute the air of this green city with revolting carcinogens?

Perfect location. TV didn't work but was resolved on day 2. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but certainly adequate. Beds were comfy and shower really nice.

Pros: - Available and kind staff that go beyond - Great location - Property is clean and the breakfast was different each day so there is variety Cons: - The light from the A/C unit cannot be turned off so from the layout of the room it was in my line of vision while I slept :( - The bed is weird, it is short but wide and it’s also extremely firm

We enjoyed the location and surrounding restaurants. I would recommend asking for a room with a view. When we stayed a local farms market was at the feet of the doorstep with fresh squeezed fruits drinks and Mexico’s delicious foods.

The desk staff was very kind and went above and beyond to help us, especially when we had trouble understanding the TV, they patiently guided us through everything. The included breakfast was good, the hotel was super clean, and the staff overall was excellent. The location is also very good: the area feels safe (especially for Mexico), and there are plenty of restaurants and good bars nearby. The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy. On Fridays there’s a farmers market outside (consider this if your room has a balcony), you might also hear people in the hallways, as the rooms aren’t fully soundproof. That said, I still highly recommend this hotel for its amazing staff, delicious breakfast, cleanliness, and great location.
