Hotels near Toy Museum in Middle Franconia

The hotel was modern and breakfast was very delicious, because there is something for everyone - especially the coffee selection was really super. We were honestly expecting more from the service itself, because the ”reception” at the reception has disappointed me as we indicated extra early trips at the booking, but this was as a surprise on the site. But maybe the staff*in had just a bad day - that can happen :-) The rooms have been good, the TV could be closer to bed for my taste and not at the other end of the room, but that is just one Smallness. And also in the bathroom/WC the division was a little strange, as well as no depot area for face cream and Co. were. In general, it was a good stay and for a city trip the hotel is recommended in all cases, The metro is only a few minutes walk.

The hotel is fairly new and near the train station(both u bahn and regular trains). It is also near the old city where there are many dining options. Nothing really there to complain about.

We only booked this hotel as we were away on business and attending Biofach at the exhibition centre nearby. Of course prices went through the roof as an exhibition was on, my company £364 for a basic twin room per night / for 3 nights - over £1000 in total! When I arrived, yes the room was clean but I was suprised at how basic it was for the price, plus the fact it looked nothing like the pictures on trip advisor. I also looked on booking.com to see there was rooms available for that night for less than half of what we paid. I went down to reception and asked if there was any other rooms available as I felt our room was very poor quality for the price, and we overpaid compared to the current price for available rooms. I’ve never seen someone at reception seem to offended at such a standard question. She asked me ‘what my point was’, and insisted there were no rooms available except those that hadn’t been renovated. Answering my question if an available better room was available seemed impossible and she said I should speak to the manager the next day. However there was a very helpful woman who checked me in. Before I even got round to speaking to a manager the next day we decided to go the gym. Of course the gym isn’t signposted anywhere in the hotel, why would a key facility be? I asked the woman at the desk (who was on her mobile phone) where it was and she pointed ahead of her and said the door on the left after the glass door. There were 3 doors, of course none said gym on and they all looked the same. I picked one and ended up in the stock room. I went back and asked her to confirm again but she just pointed again as it must have been too much effort to walk round from the desk and show me. Of course I eventually found it, no air con, music or lights but not suprised. When we first arrived the lady at reception recommended booking for the restaurant as it gets busy, we didn’t book that night and we were asked by the waiter if we had a reservation but luckily there was space. We decided the next day to request a booking to which the response was ‘you don’t need to book there’s lots of rooms’, to which I confirmed what the waiter had said and so she reluctantly wrote my room number down on a piece of paper. I never even complain, especially when away on business, but only 1 night in I felt I needed to The plus side is the food is good, and the location is 10 minutes from the exhibition, shame it was taken over from the Hilton and the customer service is beyond poor.

I stayed 2 days for business in the hotel. It is walking distance from the train station (~10-15 min) and it is located just by the highway exit. The hotel is a standard Holiday Inn Express with nice rooms and good breakfast. There is not lunch/dinner service, thus you need to take have it outside. There is a pizza/pasta place right next door. It is quite a long walk from the hotel to the city center.

Wonderful hotel with some minor issues. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is quite decent. It’s a little annoying to decorate a room with a blinding neon sign on the wall and the need to constantly re-login to the Internet several times a day. Some distance from the city center is only a plus - on weekends it is very quiet there. Very close there are grocery stores, DM, Burger King, another burger place and a pizzeria.

The rooms are small, but very comfortable and tidy. The bedding is comfortable. The parking lot is across the road. The charge is very close to the center of Wucheng. It is very convenient, just in time for the Christmas market and the train station is just across the road from the hotel.

The room and bathroom were very clean - the cleanest hostel I’ve been stayed in Europe! They also do decent breakfasts for a low price. Secure lockers. Staff were very helpful. Good location to explore Nuremberg. I can’t recommend this hostel enough. I’ll definitely stay here again.

My trip was cancelled due to COVID-19 (trade show was cancelled) and this hotel is refusing to refund the money! They told me they can only re-book me for another date in 2020, which they know is totally useless because so far Germany doesn't even accept travelers from USA and even if they will at some point this year the purpose of my trip was to attend a trade fair, which would only happen in 2021. The management of this hotel only worries about their profit and not about customers. They basically took my money and keep hiding behind their ”policies”. It's very typical for German ”hospitality” industry - they feel that as long as their policy is followed the customer can go pound sand. Needless to say, I will never stay at this hotel and will actively discourage anyone I know who travel to the trade fair to avoid this hotel at all cost. This hotel jacks up prices for very mediocre accommodations during the fair (I paid close to $300/night for room that typically costs $125 on a non-fair day) and refuse to help customer in any situation. All I wanted was to re-book my room for 2021 in order to attend the trade fair next year and I was brushed off like dust when I tried to communicate with the hotel. They had the nerve to ask for my compassion(!!!) after taking my money...LOL If you must stay at this hotel, always buy some sort of insurance, otherwise you're on your own if you need help. I'm sure they think they're completely right, because they followed their policies, but this customer will never forget.

New and very clean hotel. Very friendly staff. There was a breakfast check-in when we came - almost everything was eaten, but all quite quickly replenished ... Hotel recommends, I will be happy to stop there next time

A comfortable room a little further away from the city center, but still within walking distance of the historic center. A very nice service in the reception hall: homemade lemon water for those waiting at the reception - a very welcome relief from the summer heat! Unfortunately, the room had no air conditioning and with 38 degrees Celsius outside, staying in the room was still like going to the sauna. Despite the open windows, it was about 28 degrees until late at night. It's best to ask on your next visit whether the hotel offers air-conditioned rooms.
