Highfield Hotel

Terrible Service, food and experience. Waited so long for food. Arrived Cold Only item hot was the beefburger. Chips Cold Chicken Luke warm Chicken Wings Hot but tasted like they were not fresh. Very disappointed and no.one around to complain to. We needed to be in.a meeting so left.

This hotel is ok for a short break. The breakfast is very average and some days there is no juice when we were down. The pasties were soft one day, hard the next the next soft the rest of the week. The lady serving breakfast was nice enough and pleasant. The room is ok but the carpets are quite stained. The hotel Was quite enough and I did get a decent sleep. Shower room was nice. I never ate in the hotel in the evening but it was always busy which is usually a good sign so maybe the evening food was good?

Best pub ever xxxx great rooms atmosphere food drinks staff! Love the place it’s the best! Quiz nights on a Friday are the bomb! Value for money and yeah again the staff are just awesome. You need to give this place a visit you won’t regret it xxx

Can’t knock Lauren & caprice & Adele what great staff the service of them is great will help you out any time food is good and great for kids . Sport if you want to to watch it, plus quiz on in bar area if want to get away from kids plus table service by phone which is a good one to do .

hotel was very clean, just what i wanted. I would like to give a special shout out to Chloe ,Adele and Alison in the bar/reception and restaurant who where very helpfull and easy going .There service was next to nothing!!!!!would Highly recommend, this is a great place hotel to stay!!!

I really liked the Highfield but there were a few ******* hence 4 stars instead of 5. First of all the heating wasn’t working in my room so I was moved to another. Not a big problem but then I noticed that the batteries were flat in the TV remote so I swapped the batteries from the old room as I still had the keycard. Then it was downstairs for something to eat. I’d been sent a voucher by email giving 20% off food as I’d booked direct on the Greene King website. The staff didn’t seem to know anything about this and suggested it was perhaps only in selected restaurants. It isn’t. It’s advertised on the website and the terms and conditions say it includes every restaurant attached to a Greene King Hotel. I eventually got the discount despite the fact the code wouldn’t scan. The room itself was fabulous. Obviously recently renovated and with a very comfortable bed. No complaints there at all. On the final morning I was down for breakfast well before check out time but when I got back upstairs they had already cancelled the keycard for the room. That’s just annoying although obviously I got someone to let me into the room. I would definitely stay here again but please just sort out the problems I’ve mentioned and next time you’ll get 5 stars!

Good breakfast - Hungry horse food security on at night so happy that van was safe

Went today for lunch 26th had the Sunday roast very tasty beef just melted in your mouth veg cooked to perfection well presented hot and delicious plus loads of extra gravy so I would highly recommend if you are passing staff all lovely served by adam at the bar and served by caprice xxx

It was very cheap. Spotless bed linen. The staff were very friendly , though run off their feet . I would recommend and use again
