Staff were delightful. Room was disappointing for £300. No fridge, had to call for milk to make a cup of tea. Very noisy as our room was next to the bar…perhaps the price should have reflected that. As check out was 11am, not much time to enjoy spa facilities.

Came here with my Wife for my birthday weekend. Have been here before and its one of our favourite places. Their web site will show you all the facility's, but its all excellent Food, garden, facility's, Spa...etc etc. If you need a break away from it all in Sussex, perhaps even with your Dog like us, this is one to consider. We were in Room 1 and its fab. There was a very moany Woman there when we were staying....NOTHING was right.........of course things go wrong and nothings perfect.....this is as close as it gets. Thank you Park House.

We visited Park Hotel yesterday for my mothers 96th birthday afternoon tea treat. The house and grounds are very nice and the staff made you feel comfortable. I must say that I was very disappointed with the tea though, when you consider the price compared to other places. There wasn't a big choice of tea but an adequate selection. They did supply a fresh pot and more hot water when requested, and we had to ask for lemon for the tea. The water could have had a slice of lemon or cucumber to pretty it up the very basic catering jug . The food though was a bit disappointing. Cucumber sandwiches ok, the smoked salmon and caviar on a blini was very nice but the egg mayo roll was dry and the roll a bit too sweet for the filling, cheese straws were nice, not a big selection of savoury food for three adults and at no point did anyone ask if we needed more of any item, which most hotels I have been to seem to accommodate. The scones were good and light and the fruit scone was served warm which was a nice touch. When we asked for more cream as there was only a small tub for 6 scones, and only enough for 3, they had run out and offered pouring cream instead! Fruit compote very nice though. The strawberry tarts were good, also the raspberry cake and profiteroles but the cinnamon pinwheel danish were dry and tasteless. I did think as it was my mothers birthday which they knew in advance they could have given her another little desert on the plate with Happy Birthday, Those kind of extra special touches make all the difference. I would go again as the grounds were lovely and the place had a welcoming feel, but would hope the catering was presented better and made a little more special.

A Really nice hotel with excellent Sports facilities and views . Delightful helpful staff . Nice food . Average accomodation . AREA / SURROUND : A lovely part of southern England with beautiful countryside , quaint villages and wide choice of pubs STAFF : Very obliging . Keen to help . All very pleasant & agreeable people . CLEANLINESS / MAID SERVICE Very clean and the staff who did my room were exceptionally good and lovely . SERVICE : This is good but if you are on the patio areas it is a little slow at times and sometimes you have to search for some staff for drinks orders etc... Also a little more alacrity in the dining area would be good FACILITIES : There are two grass tennis courts , Croquet lawn , Bowls green , Table Tennis Table , Snooker table , 6 hole golf course , outdoor pool , indoor pool & spa . THIS IS ALL QUITE SUPERB ! There is equipment available for all sports but it's rather old & tired . In fact , I cut my finger on a croquet mallet as it was split . For the sake of spending several hundred pounds the hotel could appropriately reflect the excellent amenities with worthy bats , racquets , clubs & balls . Also you need to provide bath robes up to 4XL , not stop at large ! FOOD ; Fine dining essentially . Very nice but typically small portions . Reasonable wine list but a little expensive . £14- glass of wine / £40- a bottle plus . The breakfast is a "curates egg" , as the hot cooked breakfast menu has a really good choice and is delicious . The buffet conversely is Poor . Just two juices available . How about some Tomato , Cranberry , Grapefruit , Pineapple ? just 2 fresh fruit available - Melon & Grapefruit . No apples , plums , pears , peaches individual fruits etc.. No cold meats or cheeses . No flavoured individual yoghurts etc... PARKING : Plentiful . Very good indeed . GROUNDS : Lovely . Well tended . Calming , Delightful . Nice ground staff ACCOMODATION ; This lets the hotel down a bit sadly . We were in the newer part of the hotel next to the spa which has about 8 rooms I think ? Although it's relatively quiet , its very warm and the room is poky . The modern bathroom takes up nearly half of it with a mirror in the eaves up to a height of 5 foot which means I cannot see to shave . The shower is very good though . It's fly / wasp season and you can't do much about that , but a fly trap and spray in each room would help , The furnishings are old and do not match at all . There is a ghastly uncomfortable plastic chair and glass table taking up most of the entrance hall . Dirty stained thick drapes . The bed is just awful . I got about 4 hours sleep a night . It's like a water bed and you sink in it without any back / body support . The TV is useful but way too small . Tiny wardrobe with insufficient hangers . The worst thing for me though was a lack of any fridge / mini bar . This is just absurd at £300- a night ! To have to call down for milk whenever you need it , is just ridiculous and when its

What a lovely place ! Unfortunately food not amazing ( the half board dining options are incredibly limited ) but kids options good and brilliant brilliant staff . The pool is lovely and the outdoor pool on a sunny day makes you feel like you are in LA . Just great homely family ambience . The tennis and croquet was so fun . Great clientele . Felt quite luxurious but homely and We’ll be back soon

After two years of planning with so much uncertainty, this very special event took place. We had the whole hotel booked for 40 of our nearest and dearest friends and family and it wasn’t long before we felt so comfortable it was like home from home. We really could not have asked for anything more. The staff were exemplary, the food and wines first class and the rooms were wonderful. All of our guests extolling the hotel’s perfection all weekend.

I visited the Spa at Park House Hotel last week. I was looked after by Katherine, who gave me the most wonderful massage and facial ... Such a treat... It was so relaxing, I felt like I was walking on air when I left ! Thank you Katherine for your expertise and kindness X

This place is truly idyllic. Beautifully kept house and grounds and wonderful staff. We were able to enjoy the outdoor pool, croquet and the grass tennis courts. And that’s not to mention the very good food. We’ll be back!
