IH Hotels Milano Centrale

Location is great, close to the Milano Central station. I tried a couple of restaurants around the hotel, it was very nice.  Hotel room is too warm for us, we cannot adjust the temperature in our room. The staff said the temperature is not adjustable as set by the government. Luckily, the window is openable, we got some cool air from outside.

Hotel is good situated, clean and very spacious. Breakfast is a bit modest. Restaurant is good.

Totally mislead by the details provided on the website. Booked an economy room as all we needed was somewhere to put our head down near the train station. Arrived to find our room was not in the hotel but the neighbouring building, which is shared with several other businesses. Anybody getting passed the front door can get to the hotel floor using the lift. The aircon was not working when we arrived, so we asked at reception and they had to turn it on remotely. Tried to change the temp during the night and it cut out. The only option was to call reception to ask for it to be turned on. Spoke with reception the following morning and was advised it could only be operated remotel! The windows did not shut properly, meaning that street noise could be heard through the night. The shower head was temperamental and if you did not want to use the rainfall shower head you had to hold the second shower head above your head. Breakfast was the poorest I have had in the 7 hotels I have stayed in Italy during this holiday. Absolute shambles of a place. The staff were nice enough though, but clearly working with a poor property.
