The hotel itself was great— it’s well designed and definitely a unique vibe if you’re looking for something different.
That being said, the service was not great. We had two rooms reserved for our 3-day stay. The first night my 7 year old went to turn in a light and was electrocuted, which resulted in all the lights in the room going out. The maintenance staff was gone for the day, so we had to change rooms. Not a huge deal, however we were told we had to completely remove the contents of our room first, then go get a new room key in order to access the new room. This was a huge hassle at 9:30 at night with two young kids and felt like it could have been handled a lot better.
Speaking of the new room, we were switched from a two-bed room to a single. I asked for a rate adjustment and they said that since we booked through ******* we ‘already got a cheaper rate’. The hotel manager was out and was supposed to call to talk through this but it’s been 3 days and I still haven’t heard anything.
Because of the character limit in this review I’ll keep the rest short. Housekeeping never once came to our room during the 3-day stay. After asking at the front desk they said that sometimes their housekeeping feels weird about cleaning occupied rooms (what??).
We also paid $40/night for parking only to have someone park in our spot and have to wait 30 min for them to move.
Long story short, kid got electrocuted, no housekeeping, sub-par communication.
