I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff (reception, doormen, bar/breakfast area etc) were all very friendly and helpful. All spoke some, if not fluent English and were so tolerant of my elementary Spanish. They happily phoned LAN on my behalf due to a check-in problem and offered helpful advice. 24hour reception. Our apartment (#204) had a cosy lounge/kitchenette area of 2x2seater sofas, bar fridge, kettle/jug, microwave, 2 burner cooktop, sink & crockery etc, bathtub/shower, big mirror and good bench space, double power outlets, hairdryer is provided, queen bed (if requested in booking) and cute secluded open air balcony & umbrella. We found this room to be very quiet. The street does not seem to have much or traffic. This small apart/ hotel is clean, comfortable and well located and it felt like our home away from home. It is not 5 star but for USD125 per night I thought it was great value for money and would stay here again. It had a small, personal feel about it and the staff knew our room number without us having to ask for the key. Vivanda is a huge supermarket 2 blocks away and is open 24hours. There is another supermarket just around the corner. There are cafes and restaurants nearby and only a few blocks to Parque Kennedy and ATMs etc. It was a leisurely 10min walk to the Indian & Inka Markets selling all the usual souvenirs, plus heaps of other shops and smaller market places on the way. 15minute stroll to Larcomar and the Malecon. We felt very safe during the day and walking from Larcomar at night.
