I had a very pleasant stay at Dormy Inn Mishima. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Mishima Station, making it very convenient for both sightseeing and catching the Shinkansen. The room was compact, as expected in Japan, but it was spotless, well designed, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the top-floor public bath, where I could relax while enjoying a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji on a clear morning. The complimentary late-night ramen was also a nice touch after a long day of traveling. The staff were polite, efficient, and welcoming throughout my stay. Breakfast offered a good variety of Japanese and Western options, all fresh and delicious. Overall, this hotel provides excellent value for money with its clean facilities, thoughtful amenities, and convenient location. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Mishima and would happily recommend it to other travelers.

Very closed to the train station, just a few minutes of walk from there. This hotel has an onsen itself and serves udon at night. Nice pick.

The hotel has just been renovated, and the facilities and hot springs are excellent, along with the complimentary evening ramen, all standard Dormy Inn features. However, I have to give it a low rating because the hotel is located right next to a railway underpass. There's a loud, rumbling train noise passing by all day and night.

Natural hot spring "Fugaku-no-yu" [Free for hotel guests]: The hot spring is excellent. The location is great, right next to Mishima Station, and you can even photograph Mount Fuji from the station. The only minor drawback is that the lobby is a bit small, with only three small tables for tea. During breakfast hours, there's no place to sit.

The hotel service is excellent. Night supper ramen is heartwarming. Could be better if there is a small bin in the toilet.

"Convenient location, but the rooms feel quite old. However, the Japanese breakfast is diverse and flavorful. Great service from the staff, and the late-night ramen is really good."
My stay here was absolutely perfect! The room was clean, bright, and spacious, fully equipped with everything one could need, and the bedding was wonderfully soft and comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and the breakfast offered a fantastic variety of delicious options. I will definitely choose this place again for my next visit.

The Dormy Inn is super conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from Mishima Station. On the way, you'll pass a Lawson convenience store and numerous restaurants. The hotel service was quite good; upon our noon arrival, we stored our luggage at the front desk, and the staff enthusiastically offered to take it straight to our room. I even color-coded my luggage to distinguish it from my friends', but they still delivered it to the wrong room! Oh well, haha. The lobby offers complimentary hot and cold green tea, sencha, and coffee machines. The 12th floor boasts an onsen with stunning Mt. Fuji views! Laundry facilities are free to use, with dryers costing around 10 RMB for a 20-minute cycle. In the evenings, the onsen provides complimentary ramen and popsicles, and Yakult is available in the mornings. Our room also offered a Mt. Fuji view, with the Shinkansen and JR train tracks running right below the hotel. Even with trains passing all night long, the window soundproofing was excellent. However, our room had such a strong, foul odor that I dreaded going in. We stayed two nights, and I had to pinch my nose every single time. I initially considered asking for a room change or deodorizing service, but I was too exhausted from sightseeing to bother. I truly hope no one else gets stuck with such a smelly room! The stench was so bad it gave me a headache... I strongly suspect some inconsiderate guests brought a pet into the room.

Let's start with the downsides:
The room was tiny, and the shower equally cramped. At 185cm, I found it impossible to bend over comfortably. The 1.4-meter double bed was also minuscule; it was far too cramped for a family of three. I'd strongly suggest the hotel rethink allowing two adults and one child in a single room! We had to pay an additional 3,000 JPY cash per night for our 8-year-old upon arrival, which essentially only covered some basic toiletries. It felt like a hefty charge just to be squeezed into a tiny space. I urge everyone to consider this carefully before booking.
I also ran into the issue with navigating Mishima Station that previous reviews mentioned. I've included a screenshot of a GPT-generated solution for reference. Personally, I found the situation quite illogical! This seems like a straightforward system issue that should be easily fixable.
Right outside the hotel, there's a bus stop for the Mt. Fuji climbing route. Be sure to check the return times, as the bus fare is quite pricey compared to JR train tickets. We went up the mountain in the morning under bright sunshine and pleasant weather. However, by the afternoon, it suddenly turned foggy, rainy, and windy, making it incredibly damp and cold. Definitely bring a jacket; the weather is highly unpredictable. On a side note, I have to commend the bus driver – they were incredibly skilled, driving quite fast even on mountain roads that were slick/covered! Very impressive.
Our stay happened to coincide with a Japanese national holiday and the Mishima Grand Festival, a major event for the city. Mishima was incredibly lively and bustling. There were many Japanese families with young children staying at the hotel, which suggests it's a popular choice among locals.
Ramen is served from 9:30 PM – it's basically freshly prepared instant ramen, haha. The broth was a little salty, but it tasted good, and you could ask for seconds if you wanted.
Unfortunately, I cut my leg this trip and wasn't able to try out the 12th-floor onsen. I heard they offer popsicles in the evening and Yakult in the morning there. I'd still consider staying here on my next visit to Mishima, hoping to experience the onsen then.

The location is great. While Mishima might be a bit quiet overall, it's very convenient for getting around. The hotel is reasonably priced, and the rooms are quite spacious. Breakfast is consistent. Overall, it's a good option.
