Xinyuan Polar Hotel (Mohe Ballroom)

The hotel has an elegant environment, large space, and feels very comfortable. The rooms are fully equipped and very clean. There is a large yard for parking and a laundry room. The owner and his wife are warm and thoughtful.

The accommodation is conveniently located next to Songyuan. Parking is easy for those driving, and you can contact the owner for a train station pick-up. The owner and his wife are straightforward, forthright, and welcoming. You can hang laundry outside on the dam. Because it rained and I didn't return in time, the owner's wife took the initiative to collect the laundry. Since Mohe's attractions are scattered, you can hire the owner's car for a tour without having to stay overnight in Beiji Village. (In my opinion, there's a 68 yuan entrance fee and a 30 yuan bus ride, though the service is excellent. Beihong Village is more pristine.) Driving into the Greater Khingan Forest is more enjoyable. Be sure to bring plenty of power banks when you're in the Greater Khingan Forest, as the signal in the forest is very poor, with no internet or telecom coverage.

The room was clean and hygienic, the owner was welcoming, and the parking lot was spacious and conveniently located behind the hotel. The only downside was that the water heater switch was too high, requiring a slight effort to reach.

The front desk lady is a very helpful lady. On my first day there, she saw I was driving with my child and asked if I wanted to share a car to the Arctic Village. Since renting a car was too expensive, she suggested I drive my own. The hotel entrance is across the street from the Songyuan scenic area, and the Mohe Ballroom is just a 200-300-meter walk away. She also recommended a restaurant with delicious Northeastern cuisine, Shaoguo Baorou. If you need anything, just ask the front desk lady. She's always available and helpful.

The rooms that don't face the street are very quiet at night. However, the rooms are small and the facilities are simple. The suitcases can basically only be placed on the floor, which makes walking around the room difficult. In addition, it faces west and is exposed to the sun in the afternoon. There is no air conditioning or fan, so it is hot at night!

The room was clean and hygienic, with 24-hour hot water. It's conveniently located a few hundred meters from the bus station, and the owner will pick you up if you notify them in advance. It's across from Songyuan Park, and next to the Fire Memorial Museum. There's a snack street behind it.
