The room was huge and was spotless. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent - specifically cooked to order with first class ingredients. Staff were all very friendly. The location is beautiful and completely peaceful. An excellent alternative location for a Gatwick pre-flight stay (self drive only).

I actually cannot wrap my head around the reviews of this establishment. We were placed in a room that would, by any rational human being's standards be considered uninhabitable. The smell of mold hit you like a wrecking ball the moment you set a foot inside the door. The young lady at the desk was nice enough, but was clearly not impressed with her international travelers. We were placed in a building next to the main building that is very difficult to describe without sounding as though it is an exaggeration -which I can assure you, is not. Suffice it to say, it was a little something out of The Shining meets The Orphanage. It hadn't been properly looked after in decades - mold in the shower, water damage on the walls, filth and not so much as a double bed to sleep in. From what I understand, the members of our party who were placed in the main house had slightly upgraded rooms that were manageable for a few days. WE however, decided to leave the following day. What was very bizarre is that those of us who checked out within 12 hours of checking in were never once offered any other room. I have my suspicions as to why, but don't want to make statements I cannot back up without irrefutable proof.

Read some reviews saying that this place had gone downhill. After playing today I can not fault the course. Challenging holes set in stunning parkland, greens, fairways and bunkers in excellent condition. You will not find a better course for the fee you pay in the area

We had a family gathering for 60 people with 36 of us staying over this last weekend. The function went without a hitch, lead by Samantha and her team. The food was excellent, the rooms spotless and comfortable. We will be returning and look forward to playing the golf course as well next time round. Many thanks.

A group of 6 of us stayed at the Gatton Manor hotel and country club recently and we found the staff very welcoming and helpful at check in and also the restaurant staff were professional and dealt with customers with ease.I would suggest the hotel considers the staff have a dress code so you can identify them from customers which would just add that professional touch. The rooms have been refurbished in our part of the hotel and were clean and with everything you needed for a short stay here. The food was very good and a good choice off a set menu and reasonably priced as well. The golf course was in good condition although the fairways were brown as are most courses around this time with the hot weather and no rain, the greens were cut short and fast and you could see that some work had been done to keep the greens and fringes to a good standard so a well done to the ground staff. The course could do with some tidy up around tee boxes and making sure that things like ball cleaners are working etc but that would just be minor things to complain about. The course is very challenging for the average golfer but very enjoyable with some tight fairways and greens hidden within the tree lined fairways. Overall we all enjoyed our stay and would look to book again in the future for a quite and peaceful break in the Surrey countryside

OK stay. Room 2 views amazing but light bulbs not working, and cobwebs. Lacks attention to detail. No bottles of water in the room. But bed was comfy. Lovely bathroom. Staff were lovely. Helpful and friendly.. Manged to bring us an iron and ironing board as attending a wedding and a heater as room was cold on arrival. Had to persist to get this but eventually they found one!! Just watch your bill we were nearly over charged thank goodness I spotted this! But they did correct this.! Food was amazing portion sizes more than adequate. If coming to the area would stay again. It served it's purpose. It's a beautiful Manor house just needs a bit of tlc. Overall enjoyed our stay. Thankyou..
