CityBlue Creekside Hotel & Suites

Big and beautiful hotel right outside the bridge that connects to the Mombasa island, this make it a strategic place to stay for easily moving in all the direction without the risk to be stuck in the traffic. I enjoyed having meetings there and the meals are super.

Good as a base, but "all-inclusive" fell short Overall, we had a decent stay, but the experience felt quite restrictive—particularly due to the small swimming pool. This hotel is probably best booked as a bed and breakfast to use as a base for exploring Mombasa. While the food itself was okay, the "all-inclusive" package did not live up to expectations. Instead of the promised buffet for lunch and dinner, we were restricted to a set menu with very limited options, where we could only select one item per course. Management explained this was due to low occupancy and avoiding food waste, which is understandable, but this should have been made clear to us before booking. On a positive note, the staff did allow us to have our meals delivered to our room. However, we only found out this was an option during our very last meal.

This was a lovely hotel. The people there are so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very large. The road by the Hotel is pretty rough - you can really feel it when you take a tuk tuk. While you can’t really walk anywhere nearby, everything is easily accessible by taxi from the hotel. The nearest place to walk to is China Square where there is food, SIM card, etc. it’s a 15 minute walk (not recommended at night) or a 5 minute taxi. 🛺
