Kinsterna Hotel

Excellent hotel and most importantly the spa massage was superb. Panagionis and Sophia are very good practitioners so after the massage we felt totally relaxed. The hotel restaurants were all nice! A great variety of food made of fresh ingredients. Relaxing swimming pool. Very friendly staff. The hotel provided a great variety of activities such as bicycles, making if candles, honey and bread all free of charge.

As others have said the service is so disappointing. We had been thinking of going for years so finally did and feel rather numb about it, 24 hours after leaving. just not 5 star, should have known when you press the car park entry buzzer and someone says hello, you say ‘hi we are staying with you’ and then the gate opens with no ‘welcome happy to have you’ nothing. Presumably short staffed as pool closed (no life guard or for refurb we were told both reasons) . Lunch menu is very limited and food not hot enough but staff seemed to find it strange when we asked for the moussaka to be heated up as it was cold in the middle, no apology. We were very polite and didn’t receive the same courtesy. Just like Jane’s review in June last year it’s sad. It’s a beautiful place and could be lovely but there’s an air of something ‘down’ about the place maybe, a lack of energy or spirit. George the manager at breakfast asked us how our stay was and so we explained (we weren’t going to say anything) and he said he was sorry. Hope they can sort it. It should feel special but it doesn’t. We don’t like writing such a review ,it’s a shame as we were looking forward to visiting. The hotel and the grounds are truly beautiful. The breakfast is fantastic we must say, never seen anything like it, so much choice, a wonderful feast, it’s quite amazing.

Finished up a sensational 10 days touring the Peloponesse with 2 nights at Kinsterna. Everything about it was wonderful. The hotel, estate and surroundings are stunning, the food was insane and the staff were so warm and welcoming. I have to give special note to the staff. Stavros, our wonderful and friendly guide to the hotel, the first and last person we met made us feel extremely welcome. Nikos who served our evening meals was a gentleman and aside from being extremely knowledgeable about the provenance and process behind the food, taught me how to deal with a whole fish (which I had never done) and was cheerfully patient with my endless questions :) I'm ashamed that I've forgotten the names of a couple of people. Our lovely receptionist who was always there to answer our questions and help us however we needed. The fantastic events manager who was really helpful in allowing us to select an activity that best suited us. And then the head trainer of the hotel's horses who taught me and my wife to ride comfortably and took us on a wonderful ride through the estate and surrounding countryside. And the best for last :) The master and mistress of the spa, Panos and Nikoleta. My wife and I had a couples spa treatment on our first day at the hotel and it was a luxurious and indulgent experience, owing mostly to these two. They cultivated a wonderfully relaxed environment and after that first hour of melting, we had to book another treatment. I felt like Panos tailored the experience to my needs and I felt very safe in his hands. My wife describes her experience with Nikoleta in similar terms. Also they were a great laugh 😃 All in all, a fantastic stay in a beautiful place, made perfect by the people!

Sublime stay in a truly beautiful landscape! We loved most of all the hospitality and genuine service of all the hotel staff! The rooms are uniquely decorated and with full respect for the traditional and heritage of the place. The food along with all activities offered is another great reason to stay at Kinsterna. We also tried the wellness program and the spa treatments which is such a delight! Panagiotis has been amazing for accommodating to the type of treatment and massage needed and we loved the session! Altogether this is an absolute sublime stay!

I broke my foot before we left for our vacation in Greece and arrived in a cast and with crutches, so staying at a historic resort built into the side of a steep hill posed quite a challenge. Nonetheless, the staff at Kinsterna were brilliant at finding solutions to allow me to get around despite all the stairs and to participate in experiences. Our bellhop Cristopolo found solutions to transport me around the resort on a golf cart and devise routes to minimize stairs. The experience coordinator, MarthaHelene, planned activities like a cooking class and olive oil tastings.

Absolutely loved this hotel. The grounds are beautiful with amazing views and pools. Fantastic food at breakfast and the restaurants. Very friendly staff. They produce their own honey, olives and olive oil. All delicious. Would love to go back.

We stayed at a double room and never felt to left the hotel. There are no words to describe the hotel ground experience. The hotel has a wonderful mix of traditional and modern architecture and restoration is just perfect. The main building double rooms were luxurious, spacious ,clean but lack of views and privacy. I would recommend not to accept room 20 and 21 because these rooms are located next to the main building's dining area. I recommend to rent a suite instead of a regular room because there is no point in staying in an ordinary room in such a beautiful ground. The breakfast selection was broad and very tasty, including foods made or grown inside the hotel campus. The majority of the hotel staffs are very polite ,friendly and at your service 24 hours. However our check in experience was not pleasant as the porter guy came to checked us in with a form. I was expecting more professional interaction with the front desk. The check in experience did not help us to feel like we were valued guests. Last year we stayed at Parga Elix Hotel and we still remember the welcoming experience. I think such a nice 5 star hotel should improve the check in experience and front desk staff should be more engaged with guests. I am truly looking forward to our next visit but I will also contact the hotel directly before my next visit to make sure I book the right room and I get the right service.

Beautiful hotel and excellent staff. The hotel retains the history of the place but is modern in terms of conveniences. It has a lovely pool and the breakfast buffet is very good. Highly recommended.
