Hotel Vecchio Mulino

The hotel has lost much of its luster. Torn carpets in the stairwell and corridor become dangerous tripping hazards. The furniture shows its age and the passage of time. The rooms small and dark. The shower outdated and calcified. The air conditioning is controlled by the reception. For each correction had to be called again and again in the reception. There were almost two sockets in the whole room, and they were placed so unhappily that you almost couldn't get to them. In our opinion, the hotel has a few stars too many in its condition! Unfortunately, the friendly service and support from the restaurant staff could not save our stay in this hotel.

The hotel is so dated that it almost felt like we were in an 80's Hoteliere Museum. Unacceptable mattresses, just to be thrown away, you can't sleep in a 4-star hotel in these conditions. Room temperature not adjustable, you had to ask at the reception (very helpful and kind clerk) Before arriving in the room we see an old and torn carpet in the corridor. In the room (quadruple) only one electrical outlet, apart from the one in the bathroom, we had to work shifts to charge our mobile phones, smartwatches and children's devices. Fixed plastic shower head, low toilet, small and very uncomfortable. Breakfast decrees, apart from the 70-80s furnished room, like the rest of the structure. Positive note: convenient parking and good location near the center of Monopoli, the friendly and helpful staff, despite the prehistoric reality in which they are working. We did not expect to find such a situation in 2021, especially in a hotel that also proposes itself as a business, to be completely renovated!
