Monte Vista Boutique Hotel

We stayed at Monte Vista for 4 nights during a month long stay in South Africa and it was a little gem! The rooms were very modern and smart with good aircon and a lovely big shower. The grounds were perfectly nanicured with a good sized pool. The staff were exceptional and incredibly helpful, Devonne even sang and played his guitar for us in the bar (he is very good). Monte Vista is also close to 22 Church Street and Mimosa - both good local restaurants! We'd definitely stay here again. Montagu is a lovely area to chill and relax, very safe. Also worth visiting Die Kloof for a coffee and nice goodies and BluVines restaurant is lovely and very smart!

Absolutely beautiful hotel with luscious landscaping. Beautifully appointed rooms Very clean and tidy and has everything for a great stay. The staff are incredible. Very attentive to their guests. Amike, Shami and Devonne and the rest of staff, a special thank you for hosting us and making our anniversary memorable. The hotel is ideally located and walking distance to everything. If you’re passing through please stay at the Monte Vista Boutique Hotel. You won’t be disappointed. I definitely recommend staying there and would go back again.

Gem of a find (and at short notice due to change of plans). Staff could not have been more polite, welcoming of helpful. Massive thanks to Devon for his great guitar playing/singing and for staying so late to allow me to watch the Arsenal game in the bar. Delightful boutique hotel with wonderful breakfast, breath taking rooms, good restaurant recommendations and an all round brilliant 2 night stay.

Whow what a wonderfull experience. I can't stop telling people about the experience. for me it was not just staying over for 2 nights on business. It felt like home but much more because it was so beatifull , blisfull, refreshing, WONDERFULL!!

Spacious rooms, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Obliging and courteous reception staff. Breakfast was good. If dinner were to be made available, this would enhance the facility.

It was a very nice and quiet stay.in the small hotel with a very nice garden. the pool area was good for relaxing after out daily trips. excellent restauration were neary. Breakfast in the hotel was varied.

I’m really happy to have stayed here. The hotel is situated in the prettiest street in town, by many of it’s best eats. The receptionist, Shamiso, made me feel very welcome the entire stay and provided plenty of ideas for hiking, wine tasting or just enjoying the town. Everything was clean and neat, the breakfast varied, delicious, homemade and plentiful. The bartender, Devonne, was delightful and attentive and even surprised me with an impressive live performance on acoustic gitar, good vocals as well as xylophone. A welcome entertainment as I was staying alone last minute. 10/10

Our family stayed at Monte Vista Boutique Hotel during the July school holidays and it was amazing. We felt like royalty as all our needs were attended to. The team at the hotel was truly something else. I would definitely recommend you pay the hotel a visit. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.
