Mastrojanni Relais

This hotel has spectacular views of Tuscan hills. The staff is very helpful and courteous. Everything was great and I enjoyed my 3 days at Relais Mastrojanni very much.

My husband and I stayed at the Mastrojanni Relais in February 2023. We can't say enough nice things about this boutique hotel. The setting was absolutely beautiful nestled amongst the vineyards in the Tuscan hills. The infinity pool overlooks the vineyards, and we can't wait to go back during warmer weather. It has a wonderful relaxation room with a jacuzzi-type soaking pool, saunas, and a waterfall shower for private use by reservation. The staff and service was amazing. They really know how to make their guests feel special. There's a wonderful restaurant, Il Campaccio, onsite too, which we highly recommend. Looking forward to our next stay.

It’s heavily. Best of the best. Cannot wait to revisit. The staff, food, the service, the room, all and all. I wish I could retire there.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful hotel over Christmas week and we loved our stay! Located next to their own winery, just 15 minutes by car from Montalcino and connected to the village of Castelnuovo dell Abate by a charming and well-kept dirt road, the Relais is charming and photogenic and have a very good service. The hotel has 3 great differentials that make it excellent, in my opinion: comfort, isolation and the limited number of rooms (10 unless I'm mistaken). The room we stayed in have just the right amount of luxury, overlooking the vineyards, spacious and with a great bathroom! The restaurant is also glazed overlooking the vineyards and serves excellent dishes, in addition to a complete and tasty breakfast. A special thanks to the waiters Federico and Maya who served us so well, with friendliness and efficiency. Another honorable mention and a huge thanks to the service provided by Riccardo and Elia, who manage the hotel's operation and were very helpful and friendly with us, as well as Tiziana, who served us with great friendliness and competence when we tasted the excellent estate wines. It was an unforgettable experience in a fantastic hotel that we will, definitely, return to visit sime day in the future. A heartfelt thanks to all the staff, from your Brazilian Christmas guests!

We’re from the US, CA, near wine country. This a fantastic stay and I would not hesitate to come again and stay for a week. Our room (#1) was one of the smaller ones, but it’s not small. Great view, nice sitting room with a kitchen adjoins three rooms. Service is fantastic! Great, great staff—very service oriented. We stayed 9 days—unusual, but we didn’t want to pick up and move multiple times. This is a perfect location in Tuscany to take day trips to to Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Sienna, smaller villiages, and even Florence. Lots of great food and wine in the villages. Pool is fantastic. Views are great. Restaurant and wine are wonderful. Kudos to the owners for a great stay all the way around.

Absolutely loved the stay at Mastrojanni. Not only has winery offerings in the famous Brunello region, but also on site restaurant, complimentary spa room, and friendly service. Highly recommend!

..In order to provide the correct service level matching the requested price point to the guests. The place is nice and the landscape is pretty OK as well. Rooms are nice and with a good design and the structure of the premises is cool as well; Outdoor Swimming pool is nice; Premises are well taken care by the staff; Breakfast is OK; At the same time: -the premises are too far from the nearby villages. No shuttle services provided and in the evening you are technically forced to stay there if you wonna have a couple of glasses of wine (that's why you are visiting that area...!); -the restaurant menu' is very limited; Food quality is OK but the choice is too narrow. -wine selection is limited only to very local products. That's definitely a minus. I would expect to get technically EVERYTHING of TOP NOTCH (including also some top foreign wines...) in such a place; If you spend a lot you wonna pamper yourself and have options.....not being in a cage (of course methaporically...!) -the SPA area is pretty basic; Summarizing: If their target is to get - one time visitors able to spend a good amount of money to sleep there watching the stars - that's more than enough (especially average overseas clients are not so demanding.......) If their target is to gain a loyal customer bases of high end clients of European roots, there is indeed a huge amount of work do be done... Competition is GLOBAL in the high end segment and with this current proposal, they are far from that..! at the end it was an OK experience but I will not be back!

I feel like we stumbled upon a real gem with Mastrojanni Relais. This recently restored 11 room Relais is beautiful. The room are very large and modern set in a historic renovation of a beautiful hilltop setting. We’ve stayed at some other wonderful hotels in Tuscany, but this one was amazing. Beautiful buildings and views of the countryside in the Mastrojanni vineyard. Also, the food was amazing at dinner - a wonderful young couple, as the chefs serving very upscale dishes. All of this at a VERY reasonable price.
