I have no expectations when I first signed up for the hostel. As a solo traveler and sometimes group traveler, I have been to so many hostels in the US, and all over the world, however, none of them can compare to Mobay Kotch. The budgeted cost is indeed the best compared to other facilities around the neighborhood in Montego Bay. Because of the hot weather, I don’t need hot water for shower at all, the water is clean and I drink it out of the faucet. I can sleep with the fans in the room without any problems. And the highlight is, the people who work and stay here. I was picked up by the owner-Vanessa who waited me for hours at the airport, and I cannot appreciate more. Marie, Skinny and everyone who work here are so fun to be around with, considering what just happened in Jamaica in October, they welcome us with open arms while navigating thru the recovery of the city. 🥹plus, they have cutest cat and dog! Jerkie and Pickapeppa. They are so quiet and sweet. All the travelers here are friendly, people actually share their story, connect and hang out here. Even a quiet person like me was able to connect with some awesome people and went on trips together. I met really amazing people at that moment, even someone that really inspired me to be a better version of myself. Highly recommend the hostel 🥳

Old condition, logical price, friendly staff, few services

The Kotch House is Best Place I Have Stayed at in Montego Bay...It is Culturally Diverse and the Energy is Always Upbeat...Vanessa is the Best and the

The house keeper robbed me. The house is unkept and very dangerous. The smell was unbearable. They had a huge rock waler in the building. The condition of the property is horrible and unsafe. It’s not fit to be deemed a safe clean environment. The homeless sleep on the steps. I want a refund for the 2nd day I did not stay in the horrible dump.

I highly recommend this hostel because it’s convenient and easy to get to the beach and to the airport.

Great place right in the thick of things.. beautiful property, gorgeous house, surprisingly quiet, and kind and helpful proprietors. I def recommend Mobay Kotch.

Well the location is ideal Kitchen area big and spacious Maybe some modern Equipment in kitchen would make stand out bite The social area can be definitely upgraded And for it get five of five the definitely has work on clean shower curtain and showers and provide hot water in those shower and of all floors if not all at one should give a chance to use that hot water in shower The offer also a lot more services as well there like snack corner where could buy little things like sanitaries,wipes ,etc but for price and location the definitely are to be recommended
