This was an excellent unit in a great part of Montreal. I would give five stars, but there were some maintenance issues. The bathroom sink drained very slowly. The shower could be turned on but a knob was missing. There was a mop bucket in a closet that had a mild odor. And there was no laundry detergent. These issues weren't major but a more conscientious maintenance would have produced a five star review.

First the positives. Location is excellent, just round the corner from the best bagels in Montreal. Good to have an apartment and it was spacious. Beds were comfortable, but could have done with fitted sheets, or even sheets that actually fitted. The evening desk clerk Gabriel is brilliant and very helpful. Now to the negative. The biggest issue with this place is service or the lack of. Arriving after a 12 hour international flight I discovered I should have been sent a code to access the door. This caused all end of issues, too boring to go into, but the result was that the following day after waiting two hours to get into the appartment I spoke to the manager who was extremely rude ordering on harassing. Rather than help me he just kept repeating I have received the email and opened it and he could prove it. After arguing with him for 20 mins he finally sent it again. Along with a passive aggressive follow up email of a screenshot of their email software. Other negatives. It is quite rundown and dirty. The common areas often stink of sewage. And there is no lift. There is also nowhere to store luggage before checking in after checkout. And final point when I asked about late checkout fees, I was told they were $35 per half hour. Which is insane. There are much, much better places to stay in Montreal.

Overall, the property was decent. Parking for free was a challenge at times. They could have left us more towels for a 5 night stay. Air conditioner didn't work, so it was a little hot at times in the apartment....didn't want to leave the windows open at night as it was too noisy on the main street. One of the bathroom sinks did not drain very well at all. I think that, with a little more attention to some details, this can be a great place to stay.

I called in and messaged to borrow a vacuum cleaner and requested more toilet papers — both of which never arrived. These requests were made on 2 separate days. The dining chairs, sofas and bed linens are stained, dirty and have seen better days. The floors requires serious thorough wipe down. Walls and floors are filled with dust bunnies and spider webs (dangling from the ceiling). Most wall electrical sockets are missing the plates (exposed wires) which are hazardous. The dryer machine is filled with clothes lint that has not been emptied in ages (fire hazardous). The TV remote is not working with the actual TV. The online description writes air conditioning but in reality, only the living room/dining room has a/c. I didn’t expect the bedrooms to be in the basement either. Charging for cleaning fee means actually cleaning all surfaces (walls, ceilings, floors) but it’s not the case. I’ve also killed about 10 fruit flies while staying here. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Receptionist and manager Brian were so rude and not listening to us and throw out our luggage to different room without making reserve that room for us the at 7 pm asked us to leave the property. We had very bad time with them.

A brand new apartment, would be perfect to spend a week. I was only there for one night, but I really liked it. The three controls for the TV were confusing for me, so didn't use the TV. On-street parking is a bit of a juggling game, but workable. I'd stay there again.

It’s a nice place but the showers and kitchen sink were not clean.

The General Manager there Brian is the absolute worst person I have ever had to deal with when dealing with hotels. We booked through ******* and didn't purchase the refund protection. Our problem I know. Two days before our scheduled arrival date we tried to cancel (son got sick) and get a refund or voucher or change the dates but Brian refused. That's fair, we tried. On the day we were to arrive, I called the hotel to confirm our booking, since we couldn't cancel or reschedule we were going two go just my partner and I. I asked about the conditions in Montreal because of all the power outages and the fallout of the ice storm there on Wednesday/Thursday and was told by Brian that there were no problems in Montreal, that it is all media hype. Well, turns out, I was told this by one of his staff, that the building we are staying in still has now power - at three in the afternoon of the day we are scheduled to check in. At this point the only fair thing to do is to offer a full refund, but no. We are expected to drive 6 hours from Toronto to arrive at a hotel that can not provide electricity to their paying guests. That's wrong. After much back and forth, having my phone blocked, file red flagged, whatever that means, told that I'm being verbally abusive and threatened with some sort of legal action for harassing him and his staff (the staff were always very helpful and pleasant). I decided to write this. This is a new place but it needs a better General Manager. There is a reason why it only has one TERRIBLE star review.
