Hotel Newstar Montréal

The hotel has many rooms, similar to a motel. The front desk assigned me a king-size bed room, which looked a bit different from the pictures, but it was still quite good. I brought my own toothpaste, toothbrushes, toiletries, and slippers.

Overall, it was okay! The parking lot was spacious, and the staff were friendly. However, the room condition wasn't great, so I probably wouldn't stay here again. It was incredibly humid. Even with the AC on constantly, the room itself (and probably the building) was so humid that there was a moldy smell. I only stayed one night, but all my clothes and belongings still smell like it. The room seemed to get good sunlight, but perhaps because there was no window, it smelled really bad. Also, there's no elevator, so it might be difficult if you have heavy luggage.

Everything is clean and relatively recently renovated for a hotel that seems to be over 50 years old. The restaurant is also clean and well-maintained. The only drawback with the restaurant is that it doesn't honor the advertised senior discounts from their flyers, claiming these flyers are too old and outdated, even though they continue to distribute them.
