These people have no sense of hospitality. Nobody gives a damn about you, the service is non-existent. They're stingy in a way I've never seen anywhere else on earth. You're charged extra for every grain of sugar. Greedy MFs. Example: You are charged 120.00 for cleaning for 4 days' stay (which in itself is enormous; 1 to 2 hours' cleaning should be more than enough). But you still have to wash the dishes, put them away, remove the sheets and throw out the rubbish yourself! And it gets even better, they don't even make the beds at this price, so subsequent guests have to pay extra to have their beds made on arrival! It's nauseating. Restaurant experience: I take the adult buffet, my son the children's buffet. I dared to bite into his slice of pizza, and the waitress snapped at me: "Ach, nicht für Eltern, nur für Kinder!!!" Gestapo-style. As for my dish, which I'd half-filled to sample, she's on the lookout for me, and as soon as I've finished, she takes it away from me straight away. Yes, because here the "buffet" is one dish, basta! So if you want to eat what you're hungry for, be a stickler and fill your plate to the brim. And everything goes with it. Fitness 15.- (supposedly included in the stay), breakfast 27.-!!!! Very clean apartment, it's true, but I'm disgusted by this crappy mentality. Shame on you.

Nice indoor/outdoor pool (=Erlebnisbad) with a quaint Swiss backdrop. Pricing actually affordable, but with that comes some detractions. The main pool is a family experience, so expect lots of kids and noise when school's out. On the day I went, they were applying fresh paint to some indoor walls--the fumes, whilst not overwhelming, were not my idea of fresh air and a healthy spa visit. The big kicker was that on their website they advertise free admission if it's your birthday. It was my birthday and I had the ID to prove it. But there is (since I was last there) a new kiosk system to get your entry bracelet, and the computer menu does not indicate that this discount is available. As I continued through the on-screen purchase process, figuring maybe after each next step a field for discount codes or whatever might turn up--voila! purchase complete and no free entrance. I went up to the towel rental desk and asked about it. Too late she said. I should have asked her first and she couldn't reverse the transaction. And she didn't even give me a break on renting a towel as a consolation gesture. So birthday people, ASK at the desk first.

Upon check-in the hotel employee that attend us discriminate against foreign people, that even laughed at us- total unprofessional m. We then ask to talk to a manager, and came the F&B Manager, that was such polite and try to remedy the situation. He is the heart, rock star of the hotel and the staff at the restaurants that where awesome! But that does not erase the fact that they discriminate against people outside Switzerland at check-in at front desk to give you a room. The hotel is definitely made for locals and thats is the way they treat the people that arrive at the hotel at check in. They made us feel like we where not welcome there. To enhance the situation we had a room booked, clearly stated in the reservation information and they gave us something completely different from what we reserved. They gave us an outdated apartment on the back of the hotel on the last building of the premises next to a construction site with loud noises from the next complex. That’s how far away we where, that didn’t had towels, bed clothing and housekeeping-which those services where specified upon the information of reservation at ******* page and they completely disregard it because they all based there self that we reserved the hotel though out ******* and not directly with them. Completely different room of what we reserved on *******, description, amenities not included. Now imagine this nightmare having with our small children, walking far in the cold to our “room”.

I booked a three night stay here for myself and son aged 2.5. I found the journey from Zurich airport easy. I took the train to HB then changed to a train to Brunnen. I did switch at Zug. Then the 504 bus to the hotel was 10 minutes from Brunnen station. Overall it took just under 2 hours. There was some confusion at check in. I booked via ********** and assumed I was in the hotel. I was not aware there were apartments, and these are treated differently from hotel guests. After discussing this with management, we agreed I could pay an additional fee to be treated as a hotel guest. This was much better as it included full board food for my son, breakfast for both of us, towels/robes and lots more extras. Had I just been in the apartment, I would have had to check out at 10am whereas hotel/hostel is 11am. Also check in for apartments is at 4pm whereas hotel/hostel in 3pm. Breakfast is charged at CHF 27 per person/per day and children’s meals are CHF 9 per meal. Also, the gym is charged at CHF 15 per person/per day. As you can see it can get very expensive. I found the apartment to be very spacious and comfortable. It was frustrating having to navigate finding the apartment in the dark as the signs were not clear and it was difficult to navigate some steps with the buggy. The restaurant was great for the children’s meals/ Plenty to choose from. The restaurants did get busy but I never booked and was always able to get a table. At lunch I did not want to eat so little one only ate, I felt like the waitresses did not like this and kept asking if I wanted to order something. The kids facilities are the best. The play area is great with lots of fun toys. Sadly parents let their children run unsupervised but that’s not the hotels fault. Ethan also went to TOM’s Happy Club one morning whilst I went to the gym. The pool was also great. Plenty to keep the children entertained. We also enjoyed the cinema room. There isn’t much local to the hotel unless you have a car but we were only there for a few days so it was ok for us. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families. So much to keep children happy. Been coming to the swiss holiday park for years since my children were very little and there’s always so much going on for them. Beds are comfortable, apartments clean and functional, staff are helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone with young children. Location is lovely, halfway up a mountain with access to cable car at the Stoos or bus down to Brunnen on the lake, easy to take the boat across the lake to Luzern Unfortunately, as my children have grown up now, they don’t take as much interest in all the activities

We stayed for two nights at the hotel with my kids and sister to have a nice short Holiday,but it didnt met our expectations in this hotel. The price is too expensive for what you will recieve. Hotel room is too old and looks dirty😬 even they cleaned it. Toms happy club which is an indoor playroom is too dirty, and toys are already broken😬 Food at the Restaurant can't recommend also. Pool area need also renovation.

Breakfast tasted bad. We had to make our own beds by adding the covers, there was no washroom in the room and the washroom outside was a mixed washroom with boys and girls. The whole hostel smelled bad, it smelled like a dirty washroom/pool. This is not suitable for children. It was overpriced and the room was hot.
