Courtyard Charleston Mt. Pleasant

Very nice, very clean! The pool area was great. The room was comfortable and roomy. But what made this stay so special was Marilyn, the lovely lady who works the front desk. This woman deserves a raise, what a tremendous asset she is to this location!! She gave directions, restaurant recommendations, helped plan our days so we could see everything we wanted to see and more. I can’t say enough about how she made our stay perfect! Five stars for Marilyn. Please tell her how much we appreciated her.. and let her know her recommendations were perfect!

We have stayed at this property at least 10 times over the years and its great location and friendly check-in staff keep us coming back when in the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area. In our recent stay, our room on the top floor was quiet, despite the property being extremely crowded given a locally held baseball tournament. The property is located off of HWY 17, a main thoroughfare through Mount Pleasant, adjacent to many restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and an easy drive to Isle of Palms, downtown Charleston, and Daniel Island. Safe area and parking is free. I do wish they had an EV charger in their parking lot!

Instead of paying a fortune to stay in downtown Charleston, we decided to stay here. To our pleasant surprise you are a 10-15 minute drive away from downtown across the new bridge an in a straight line. The property is well-maintained and the rooms are nice. There is no safe in the room. Showers are good and the bed generally comfortable. WiFi is OK. Parking is free and you are also close to a vast suburban list of restaurants and shopping options.

This has been our go to place to stay when we visit Charleston. We have stayed here many times the last 12 years and really like the location and the also found the rooms comfortable. The last two times I noticed things were in need of upgrading! The rooms also need some deep cleaning! New mattresses and bedding are number one then please clean the carpets and bathrooms. That would make a world of difference.

Mitchell the receptionist went above and beyond to assist me. Excellent customer service. The hotel is close to Shem Creek and in a great location too.

They clearly know they are a unique courtyard, starting with the fancy lobby and exterior. Rooms have more hardwood appearance and nicer wall pictures than the typical place. However, don't be entirely fooled, since it's still a courtyard. Mini-fridge but no microwave. They still have bathtubs (not the walk in shower) as well as (brace for it, long time Marriott fans) the three-color RGB video inputs at the desk that you can plug your 10-pound 1990's laptop video into. I think the outlets would charge your car phone bag too (if you had the cigarette-to-three prong adapter with you). But overall, I would still take this decoration style any day over the relatively cookie-cutter standard setups.
