GGuest UserAn absolutely perfect stay! The Bird's Nest Resort is sprawling. If you opt for the East Wing, you'll be conveniently close to the resort's only two restaurants. Choose the West Wing, and you'll be just steps away from the magnificent Cliffside Heavenly Pool. No matter which wing you choose, you can simply message the WeChat customer service to arrange a buggy transfer to your desired location within the resort or any attraction in Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park. The buggy service is usually prompt, arriving within 2 minutes; however, during busy periods, it might take up to 15 minutes. Comfortable seating is provided at all waiting points, so waiting is never a bother.
Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with excellent bedding and amenities that met all expectations. Upon check-in, I immediately sprayed the room with mosquito repellent. Whether this was the reason or not, we didn't encounter any insects indoors. That said, we did spot some large geckos and spiders outdoors, but these didn't detract from our overall experience.
The Western restaurant boasts beautiful views. The Cliffside Heavenly Pool infinity pool is absolutely stunning – who else has an infinity pool featuring natural rocks and lush trees, all while offering panoramic ocean vistas from a mountaintop perspective! When you visit the forest park, I recommend asking the customer service to take you to Tropical Paradise Square. Afterwards, you can directly take the zipline down to Orchid Valley for 100 RMB. The 100 RMB zipline consists of four exciting segments, providing a fun, refreshing, and absolutely exhilarating experience! I'll definitely be returning to stay at the Bird's Nest Resort again; I absolutely loved it!

From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They made the check-in process incredibly smooth and efficient, ensuring that I felt welcomed and valued as a guest. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident as they provided me with all the necessary information about the hotel amenities and local attractions.Assistant Front Office Manager May was kindly of my family.
What impressed me the most was their willingness to go above and beyond to meet my needs. When I requested recommendations for restaurants and activities, they took the time to understand my preferences and offered personalized suggestions that greatly enhanced my stay. It's rare to find such knowledgeable and friendly staff who truly care about their guests' experiences.
Additionally, the concierge team was equally remarkable. They were always available and ready to assist with any inquiries or requests I had. Whether it was arranging transportation, booking excursions, or providing insider tips on the best places to visit, they did so with enthusiasm and efficiency. Their local knowledge was invaluable, and I felt confident exploring the area thanks to their guidance.

The staff were not just friendly; they were incredibly helpful and radiated kindness, making us feel right at home. This place was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life!
Every day from 5:30 to 6:30, we enjoyed sipping drinks and snacking on fresh fruit at the beach bar while watching the sunset paint the sky in mesmerizing colours. It was pure bliss! Plus, the variety of water activities and the open-air beach bungalows added to the relaxation. Just a tip: those bungalows go fast, so make sure to snag one early if you plan to lounge in the sun all day!
The breakfast spread was a feast for the senses, loaded with delicious options served from 6:30 in the morning until 1:00 in the afternoon. No need to rush! And the convenience factor is off the charts with a buggy service ready to whisk you from your villa to the beach bar, lobby, restaurant, and more.
Our villa was nothing short of stunning and impeccably clean. Every evening, the staff turned down the bed and left a delightful little gift, which added a charming touch to our stay. And to top it all off, they surprised us with a birthday cake for my partner—such a sweet, thoughtful gesture!
We truly had the time of our lives, and I can’t recommend Banyan Tree Sanya enough!

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was perfect — right in the middle of everything, with lots of nice restaurants and places to explore just around the corner. It made getting around super easy.
The staff were honestly amazing. They were so friendly and always happy to help. They even took the time to help me set up WeChat and sort out currency exchange, which made my trip so much easier. It felt like they genuinely cared about making sure I had a good experience.
The room was clean and comfortable, and I felt really welcome during my whole stay. I’d definitely choose this place again next time I’m in the area!

Sstally_tingWe visited Sanya for a vacation at the end of August and chose The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay. Nina, a wonderful staff member, assisted us with a smooth check-in. Our room offered lovely views of the pool and villa area, with the ocean visible in the distance – truly pleasant scenery. The room itself was quite spacious and well-designed, with distinct and practical zones.
We had all our dinners at the Run Garden Chinese Restaurant. Their salt and pepper prawns and Hainanese Wenchang chicken were absolutely delicious.
The travel photoshoot we had was also fantastic! Although it was a bit sunny during the shoot, the overall experience was very enjoyable, and the photos turned out wonderfully.
Nina, our butler, was incredibly attentive and meticulous, always going the extra mile to meet guests' needs. At check-out, she even prepared a thoughtful parting gift for us, which we deeply appreciated. Thank you!

GGuest UserThe Sanya Shanhaitian JW Marriott far exceeded my expectations! Upon check-in, I was immediately struck by the lobby's tropical design. From the room, simply opening the window revealed a magnificent ocean view. Waking up to the sound of waves in the early morning was incredibly therapeutic. The balcony bathtub was fantastic; soaking in it during the evening, watching the sunset paint the sea crimson, was the epitome of romance. The dining experience was also a pleasant surprise. The freshly made Hainanese rice noodles for breakfast were perfectly tangy and spicy. The service was exceptionally thoughtful. A big shout-out to Strawberry from Guest Relations; she went above and beyond! Learning it was my girlfriend's birthday, she thoughtfully arranged a birthday setup, which was incredibly touching. Dadonghai Beach is just a ten-minute walk away, boasting fine sand and clear waters, making it an excellent spot for photos. Whether you're a couple on a romantic getaway or a family on vacation, this is an excellent choice. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for visiting attractions and shopping districts. Check-in was super fast, and they even recommended nearby restaurants. The room was spotless, the bedding was incredibly comfortable, and I slept through the night. The bathroom had a nice dry/wet area with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was varied, with both Chinese and Western options, and the food was delicious. The mountain-side pool provided a very relaxing atmosphere in the evening, accompanied by the charming sounds of roosters crowing and dogs barking from nearby. The spacious balcony offered interesting views of yachts and the children's playground below. The newly opened playground downstairs has brand new facilities, making it effortless to entertain kids.
The Lùhuítóu Scenic Area is nearby, perfect for an evening stroll to enjoy the mountain breeze. The fishing village at the foot of the mountain is packed with great food options.
Considering the affordable room rate, the hotel's buffet breakfast was surprisingly generous. The omelette chef was skilled, and the noodle stall, especially with a fried egg, was delicious.
For those who love Dadonghai, this hotel is definitely one of the top choices.

Pros:
The beach is right there, the water is clear, and the waves are small, making it super convenient for swimming. The view is also fantastic. For the sea-view room we booked, the price was an absolute steal!
Cons:
Now for the downsides! The hotel is old, and there's no denying that. Given its prime location and year-round full occupancy, I can understand why major renovations might be difficult. However, the poor hygiene is completely unacceptable. In the bathroom, the toilet seat still had sticky residue from disposable seat covers left by previous guests (or even several previous guests), which hadn't been properly cleaned. Is it really that hard? A little adhesive remover would take it off instantly! Cobwebs were hanging in the corner of the cubby where the bath towels were stored – seriously, how long has it been since that spot was cleaned? The transparent glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom had a white roller blind covered in mold spots! Maybe they could just replace it with a patterned blind, so I wouldn't have to look at it and could just pretend it's clean...
Our room's bathroom didn't have a separate shower, forcing us to shower in the bathtub. The hygiene of the tub and its surroundings was so questionable that soaking was out of the question – we could only stand to wash. To make matters worse, both the roller blind on the left and the shower curtain on the right were full of mold spots and various strange stains. The tub itself was barely half a meter wide, making showering feel like an extreme obstacle course! The wardrobe had a basic design: open the door, the light comes on; close the door, it turns off. However, the cabinet door was warped and didn't close properly, so the light inside stayed eerily on. In the middle of the night, it looked as if some mythical creature was residing within... The bathrobes were frayed, and the curtains were too dirty to even touch. Despite a wonderful balcony with an amazing view, not even a single chair was provided.
Downstairs, there's a large swimming pool, but it only had ankle-deep water. This vast area, featuring a pool bar and a circular lounging zone, along with the adjacent circular-designed McDonald's, felt like a completely wasted excellent setup. For the pools that did have water, the circulation wasn't working, and the water wasn't even clear! I really can't fathom what the hotel management is thinking. It was similar last year, but this year, the hygiene appears to have deteriorated even further.
Overall, for Yalong Bay, the hotel offers good value for money, and the sea here is truly amazing. I sincerely hope the hotel can improve. I won't even dwell on the outdated facilities; just updating the small details and implementing stricter hygiene controls would make a huge difference, even if it meant a slight price increase. Otherwise, even its prime location won't be enough to salvage its reputation.
Oh, and a final note: the hotel's safety railing for beds should not be used. It's a serious safety hazard. The support bar that slides under the mattress is less than 20cm long, causing it to tip over with the slightest touch. Parents traveling with babies should be especially cautious!
