Perfect stay. Beautiful room, very spacious and had everything we needed. Was more like an apartment with fitted kitchen, small living area etc. was lovely to return to after a busy day, smart tvs so access to Netflix prime Disney etc. rooftop pool was stunning and although small, we always got a sun lounger and parasol. Very relaxing and stylish. We had family in the area so we had access to a car so cannot comment on the immediate area much. Short taxi ride to sliema or Valletta. Use bolt taxi app as cheaper than Uber (about €7) reception staff were lovely and really wanted to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Very secure hotel. Small cafe in road facing hotel had best English breakfast and very friendly service would 100% recommend a visit. There is a bus stop round side of hotel and I believe Bugiba and mellieha bay are reachable from here, or bolt taxi €28 to ferry for blue lagoon comino island. All in all fantastic place at a brilliant price 😊

The hotel is very new, and the first impression of the hardware is very good👍The room is quiet but the service is average. (first four pictures) I stayed for four nights and only received 2 bottles of water on the first night. They explained that they would only be provided on the first night. Coffee and tea in the mini bar were no longer provided starting from the second night. They explained that they had forgotten it and finally provided them on the fourth day. But the sugar scattered on the table also spilled out (the last two pictures). These two points make the hotel service very cheap! Also: I really don’t like the old lady in charge of tourist reception at the front desk. I wanted to ask where to take the sightseeing bus, but she didn’t want to answer and instead asked me if I had bought a ticket. Does that mean you bought a ticket before answering? Breakfast is also good!

Stayed for 7 nights in a deluxe room on 10th floor. Check in was easy and very efficient. Room was large with a decent balcony. Bathroom had separate shower and bath. Not very many electric points and no USB charging points. Overall the room was good but in need of modernising. We had an issue with knocking from the water pipes ( not in our room) for our whole stay. Breakfast was plentiful, but limited options for vegetarian and even less for vegan choice. Pool area was great, with lots of loungers and shaded areas. Staffing at the pool bar seemed to be a bit hit or miss, one day 6 staff, the next day 2. Service at the hotel bar was also an issue on a few occaisions, mainly when there were conference groups. The location of the hotel was great, but not for those who would struggle with stairs. Overall great location, but faded granduer and some staffing issues

Perfect location. Clean room. Great service. Good view. But.... I visited in March when it was very cold. No heating and the sliding door had many gaps where the wind whistled in so my two nights were very cold and no additional blankets.

After much deliberation for location and hotel for our stay in Malta we chose 'The Regency Plaza, Sliema*' and after a fantastic week here we know that we chose well. Very happy with the hotel from the reception - happy to help with anything and everything, baggage storage (until our room was ready), our room, the bed, the view, the pool (outdoor one is blooming cold but who cares!), the breakfast choice to most importantly, location! It's important to know that *Sliema is massive and where the ferries go from. This hotel is quite a distance from there (although easily walkable) and is actually situated in Exiles Bay (Bus stop is actually Antik - right outside the hotel) a much quieter and prettier area. We were put on the 5th floor and were so glad as the views were superb and also the outside noise isn't as intense, but the sliding door to the balcony is very effective at cutting out the noise anyway. I loved to sit and watch the world go by early morning and evening - people jogging, walking, taking dogs for a walk or the may electric scooters whizzing by. We had no trouble sleeping nor did we hear any other noise (like music or road traffic etc). There are a couple of nice bars/restaurants opposite the hotel and directly out of the hotel entrances (yes, there are two receptions and entrances) is a pizza place (which you walk through to get in) and a Costa Coffee shop. Our room was a reasonable size and had all the amenities we needed - safe, hairdryer, plenty storage, a nice shower (but you do have to pay extra for coffee making facilities) but the toilet took forever to re-fill after a flush - a tad annoying but nothing I'd really moan about. The shower had some marks on the grouting but overall the room was very clean and the maids came everyday. Bed was comfortable and blackout curtains ensured a good nights sleep. Breakfast was a very, very typical European hotel offering. Cooked sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes etc. Plenty choice of break, fruit, meats and cheese. Lovely fresh cooked warm croissants with a choice of jams, chocolate sauce and more. Coffee and juice via machines and waitresses very efficently cleaning up after you as soon as you are done, so no clutter of plates on tables etc. As mention, the top floor swimming pool was excellent but really cold. We found this both bracing and refreshing on the warmer days, plenty of sunloungers, a pool bar and mutliple level seating (as there are two sides to the hotel, you can cross over). We got a 7 day bus travel card for €21 each and we used them to death as it is so simple to get anywhere on the island by bus. They are clean, frequent and convenient. The bus stops are right outside the hotel for either direction. They can get full during 'rush hours' but that's always part of the charm of travel by bus we find! Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Their staff doesn’t comes regularly. One day i had to clean my bin bag and put it outside by myself.This hotel they procided lot of amenities but you have to give them some deposit to get it that's such lame part.but location was good. You can see qawra beach just within 5 min walk. I would say it does worth your money

Upon arrival, We received rose petals and a spread on the bed as when we arrived it was our anniversary. Which was such a lovely touch The hotel staff are all really helpful and attentive, they can’t do enough for you. They answered any questions we had about transport, things to do, shops etc. The food and cocktails at the hotel are all really great however maybe slightly overpriced but this is to be expected. Please note this hotel is a party hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and only 1 of the nights there was not an event happening. It wasn’t a problem for us as we usually spent our days outside of the hotel but when we returned and the pool area is overcrowded it can be a bit annoying. They also had a few problems with the power as many times the music was cut off and we lost power in our rooms. Despite this, I would stay here again as when there are no events on the hotel is a lovely chilled vibe. The rooms were cleaned daily and everything was kept absolutely spotless. We really enjoyed our stay at Bora Bora resort and will more than likely be returning in the future. Thank you.

New structure, nothing to complain about. Service: EMPTY bar fridge, not even a bottle of water, non-existent bathroom courtesy kit ☹️ slippers not to mention. If they remain with this miserable policy, after having taken a Superior Sea View Room and paid a premium, I would expect some more service. Excellent breakfast.

Staff are helpful, location is close to beach and Salt Pans. People relying on public transport needa be aware that buses are always coming late, a bit tricky to catch buses in Gozo. Anyhow, the hotel itself is fine, you may tell some areas are dated but you cant ask for too much with this price in this location.
