The hotel is right next to the central station but surrounded by construction and the area feels a little bit shady. We entered the hotel lobby and felt somewhat uncomfortable - probably from the lighting. The feelings of uncomfort continued and got worse. We got placed into a room where the hallway light didn't work and there were used glasses/beer bottles sitting around. You open the door and have a second door. You go into the room and there are no lights on the ceiling - we had to turn on individual lamps. The walls were slanted, there were mirrors behind and in front of the bed, clowns in the bathrooms. Our room looked nothing like the uploaded hotel photos so we asked to change rooms. She gave us a key to a double deluxe room (upgrade from what we booked) but the key didn't even go into the keyhole. She apologised for that but also said there was nothing she could do about the clowns because "they were in all the rooms". The next day we asked for housekeeping by hanging the sign on the door but they didn't vacuum properly. The breakfast buffet was standard.

Near Subway exit D or E, good location. Cafes, Turkish and Asian food right below and around the hotel. No toothbrush, comb, slippers. The shower gels are all in one bottle. So not for the fussy. But bathroom is spacious and toilet is a separate unit.

Great location, very good breakfast and helpful staff specially in the dining area. Overall highly recommended

Very convenient to main train station

I would like to feedback on my unpleasant experience. 1. I am disappointed to only found out that the main road that leads to the hotel was blocked by on going construction work. The hotel could have informed guests and give guided directions beforehand so that we are not at a lost how to get to your hotel from the GPS. I was forced to make a big detour with my 25kg luggage and it was not an easy task. Given also that I arrived late at night and the surrounding doesn’t make me feel safe with such big luggage and being alone in a foreign city. 2. On the 2 nights I am here, loud noises can be heard. On the 15/3 night, it was loud chatting and drinking which lasted till 12 midnight. On 16/3, it was shouting from a man which I could hear full of expletives and lasted from 11pm to the wee hours of almost 3am. Both nights I was jolted out from my sleep as it was loud and disturbing. I wanted to call the hotel only to realised my room doesn’t have a telephone and I was in my pyjamas and will be inconvenient for me to go down to the reception. 3. On 16/3 when I returned back to the hotel, my key card wasn’t working. I had to go to the reception 4 times to get it sorted out. The reception should have followed me up and get it fixed for me instead of making me walk up and down with my heavy shopping bags which I can’t leave it outside my door. I was even told my name was not registered with the system and therefore might be the reason. I asked how then was I able to checked in the previous night and the reception guy said he is puzzled too. It was finally resolved when the other reception got the master key to open it for me. He initially tried on my key card and it can’t be open too. 4. I asked for an additional pillow on 16/3 in the morning and the reception told me to informed the housekeeper when I see them. As one of the housekeeper was right outside my unit, I informed her, initially she doesn’t understand what I wanted, i showed her the pillow and she said she will get it for me. Unfortunately when I returned back, no pillows were given and my room was not cleaned. 5. Today - 17/3, I returned back to my room and saw that my bed was fixed, but not cleaned. The basin still have hair, the floor mat which is wet was folded and left by the window. Both my towels were not changed even though I already used it for 2 days. I do not mind not changing towels everyday to save the earth, but at least must change every other day given that most people showered twice a day. Floor mat which is step on, must be changed for hygiene purposes. This hotel was highly recommended by my friend who stayed here last year. When I shared with him my experience he was shocked. I don’t feel safe staying here and every night I rushed to come back before 8pm. I was kept awake the whole of yesterday night from the shouting and felt so helpless not being able to do anything about it.

Toilet was dirty , it was not cleaned n with ****.

An amazing hotel. Easy transportation, easy to find halal food, close shopping center, very close train station.

Very good hotel, top location! I can only recommend this hotel, which I have booked several times. I'll be back.

The room was a bit small, and the soundproofing was average. One day, the room card didn't work, and several other travelers had the same problem. However, the basic hygiene was perfectly acceptable, and the location was very convenient, right next to Central Station. Evening walks to Marientplaz took about 20 minutes.

The hotel is far from new, but many rooms have been renovated. Construction is in full swing on Schillerstrasse and everything is blocked off. The area was very controversial, but has now become quite unpleasant. Hotels give good discounts in connection with this, I think. The hotel has a good breakfast.
