One&Only Gorilla's Nest

I strongly recommend the One & Only Gorilla’s Nest in Rwanda. My family and I (6 adults between 28 and 65 years old) traveled to Rwanda to visit the gorilla and decided to stay at the One & Only for our stay. Our experience there was outstanding. We all gave an “A+” to the accommodations, grounds, meals and staff. We were only there for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer, but our trip schedule required moving on quickly to the safari portion of our trip. This was our first stay at a Only & Only property. If this property is indicative of teh brand’s quality, we will be trying others in the future. Kudos to the resort and staff!

Expensive but fabulous, loved the attention to detail the rooms were amazing as well as the decor and service, we could have easily stayed 3 nights, the food was great as well, so organised

Just an amazing experience when coupled with a gorilla trek. Luxury without bounds! The compound is large enough that you can enjoy it all on one the resorts e-bikes. Food is just amazing! Bungalows are tucked away in a lush eucalyptus forest with the most amazing gardens and plantings everywhere. The staff are fabulous also.

Rooms are most comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful . The estate is well laid out and the dining areas and bars pleasant, inviting. The location is very suitable for Gorilla viewing . The only caveat I would have is that even with its location and very good Hotel standard the price is a little too high in several thousand dollars per night

This hotel embodies what it is to be a One&Only resort. Its location exudes privacy, sanctuary, yet proximity to the Volcanos National park. It has every single comfort you would expect, want, or think of whether in the room or around the property. But what really sets this apart from not just other hotels, or other O&O resorts, or most other resorts is the attention to detail, the full certainty it gives guests about every single aspect of the experience and friendliness of every single member of staff at the hotel. No request was forgotten, every single question I had was answered extensively and accurately, and every single intention I had for what the stay could have been was fulfilled. Whether it is down to my driver knowing exactly which hike and gorilla family to assign me to, asking for sliced avocado the afternoon before as a snack for the gorilla trek the following day and every single server knowing who I was and that request, or even having multitudes of ice ready to add into the cold plunge, there was no other way I could have thought of that would have made the stay better. Of course you come to the hotel to see Gorillas and it is basically guaranteed when you come that you will, but when you are at the hotel, it gives you the sanctuary at home feel that you get really anywhere else. I would choose here no question if you are looking for the best gorilla experience and want everything absolutely taken care of.
