Aerotel Muscat - Airport Transit Hotel

As soon as I stepped into Aerotel Muscat - Airport Transit Hotel, I immediately encountered three issues. First, for an international airport transit hotel, you only provide UK-style plug sockets, with no European or standard Chinese plugs available. This is extremely inconvenient for international travelers. Second, there is surprisingly no air conditioning controller in the room. I know it's a central air conditioning system, but I don't even have the right to turn it on or off. On the night of October 11, 2026, while the outdoor temperature was in the low 20s (°C), the temperature inside the room felt cold enough to raise penguins. Third, I searched the entire room, praying to find a USB port to charge my phone, only to find that the room's sole USB port was broken—whether from long-term wear and tear or intentional neglect, I have no idea. Anyway, I won't say any more. I feel like what I've said has already touched your soul.

This hotel is disgustingly dirty, and the toilets have a terrible smell. The equipment is broken (lights not working, charging ports out of order). On top of that, they photocopy your passports and leave them visible to everyone – that's unacceptable! If I wanted to, I could have easily taken photos of about ten other people's passports. This is absolutely outrageous!

Extremely convenient for a long layover in Muscat. The family room for 12 hours, including dinner, was a big hit with all of us. It was clean, spacious, with comfortable beds that helped us recover after a long journey. The dinner was delicious. The staff were very welcoming and forgiving of our poor English. We'll definitely stay here again on our way back from Bangkok. I hope the experience will be just as good next time.

Muscat Airport is quite modern. The airport hotel on the fifth floor is decent. If you want to stay there, you'll need to go up five floors from the departure lounge. The hotel is clean and tidy, and it's mainly good for resting during layovers. There weren't many guests, so it wasn't too noisy. I asked the front desk for a spoon when checking in, and they said yes but never brought it. The service wasn't up to par.

Comfortable, clean, and very efficient. Recommended for long layovers.
