The Royal Blue a Luxury Beach Resort

This place is amazing. It's luxury upon luxury. It has everything you need right at your doorstep, if you're not worried about exploring the island you can stay here your entire trip and be thoroughly satisfied. It has its own beach that is sheltered from swell so it's nice and calm. Perfect for kids and snorkelers alike! The restaurants they have are all 5 star and the food is amazing. Highly recommend this resort!

For the first time we booked a package holiday with Tui, half board. Unbelievable value for money. Flights on Titan airlines, which were wonderful. Felt very safe and the captain kept us informed. Take your own, overpriced on board! Transfer to the hotel took 90 mins in a comfortable clean coach. The driver was good and drove well. The return transfer was longer 2 hours 20 mins stopped at more hotels. Hotel - The Royal Blue is spotless. We were in a sea facing room. Easy to get around the hotel. Facilities are very good. Every single staff member is fabulous. From reception, room, pool, bars to restaurants I can’t fault them. They made our holiday!! Fresh towels every day at the pool and in the room. Toiletries are good. Sunsets and views are awesome. The breakfasts had everything from comb honey, fresh fruits, yoghurts, breads and hot food. From filtered coffees to lattes. Dinner was fantastic, sitting watching the sunset sipping a glass of local wine. Prawns, salads, pastas, local dishes to international cruisine. Bars offered 30% off at happy hour well worth going to both bars and having a signature cocktail. Taco margaritas at the Thea bar was fabulous! Tours book early the fill up, we missed out! We didn’t want to hired a car and drive around, we wanted to relax no stress! We walked to the local supermarket which is close. We caught the local bus to Rethymno, the one day (€2.70 one way) purchase tickets before at the hotel. Well worth it. Check the bus times we missed one by seconds and then waited an hour! We walked to Panormos and got a taxi back (€8). Local people are very friendly and willing to help. A lady called a taxi for us! Lovely restaurants in the area.

We have just returned from ten days at Royal Blue. It was a truly relaxing holiday at a beautiful hotel. The location is stunning and we witnessed the most beautiful sunsets. The rooms are very well kept and offer privacy to guests. Food at the buffet is extensive offering something for everyone and changes daily. For us the fresh fruit on offer was the stand out! Out of all the fabulous features of the hotel our outstanding one was the staff. Each and every one of them greeted you personally and seemed to care genuinely about your enjoyment. All staff were a credit but the one we would like to personally mention is Anna. She was exceptional. We miss you all.

A wonderful hotel with such lovely staff. Spotlessly clean and very well kept, very good food and very genuine service from all of your staff. A shout out to Anna who was wonderful she checked in on me everyday after having a bad reaction to a bite but she genuinely cared. I would also recommend the DanEri yacht day trip it was simply outstanding. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would also recommend venturing to local tavernas for some authentic Greek cuisine.

Amazing resort!! Clean. Serene. I organised a ladies retreat here beginning of June and our experience from entering the resort through to when we had to check out was fantastic. Staff were super professional, friendly, warm and went out of their way to make us feel special. Some of them included Lefteris, Anastasia, Anna, Katerina and the list goes on. We would definitely want to come back here. Thanks for making our time here so memorable.

Absolutely amazing, the hotel didn't feel over crowded, everything you expect for 5 start Resort. Food delicious, fruits unbelievably tasty... such a good breakfast time... oh! The most special thing customer service! Maria and Nathansha make us feel at home, they gave us very good advice to explore the area finding big treasures... Like Sunset in Balì, pottery Town of Margarites, and an old Monastery of Arkadi, that is a must to do.

This was our 2nd visit. This place is wonderful. Pristine pools and beach, spotless rooms, a rejuvenating spa, and excellent dining. However the best part is the staff: very friendly, professional, and responsive. There are several pools to choose from including one that's kids-free. Two pubs at both ends of the beach with lots of beds and cabanas to lounge on. One of the highlights of the resort is the spa. The masseuses are the best we've had. There is a variety of treatments you can get, so if you're there for a week or more, take the 3+1 offer. The breakfast and dinner buffet offers a wide variety of dishes and really good desserts. We're looking forward to our 3rd visit.

We fell in love with the Royal Blue in the summer and returned for a 5 night break in October- and so glad we did. From the moment you arrive you are looked after by the wonderful staff who really are the making of the hotel. Check in is seamless and so calm after traveling. The setting of the hotel is beautiful and the surroundings immaculate and so clean, everywhere smells fresh, and all the staff smile as they walk past. We had a room with a private pool this time which was gorgeous, fresh pool towels arrived daily along with other treats of wine and fresh fruit during our stay. Breakfast is wonderful- we love that only a small amount of each dish is out and is replaced often and seamlessly. Absolutely everything you could wish for and again the wonderful staff are around. Initially the drink and food prices look on the high side but in reality the quality and freshness is exceptional and worth the price. It’s easy to get the local bus into Rethymno for some shopping and lovely places to eat and drink. We are already booking for next year and cannot wait to return.

Awesome hotel. Amazing staff in all aspects of the hotel, friendly and professional. The hotel is clean and well kept. There is plenty of choice when it comes to either spending time by the pool or on the beach. The food menu is varied and excellent quality, with the additional option to dine in one of the other restaurants offering high quality cuisine. Highly recommend a visit to the hotel.
