Hotel Dormy Inn Nagasaki Shinchichukagai

Amazing having the free ice creams and ramen served during midnight. The hot spring was also great and calming. It is rare to find a capsule hotel that has these amenities around 5000 JPY. I hope Dormy Inn expands capsule hotel elsewhere in Japan.

A great location to be for Nagasaki. Chinatown is right outside the door, a street car is right down the street that goes to all the tourist destinations, and walking distance to many other options for food, bars, etc. The rooms are exactly as pictured, a bit dated but not in bad shape. Only thing is some older ports in the bed/desk haven't been cleaned in a while. Sheets, bathroom and towels are all clean so no complaints there. The baths were clean and always a great addition to the stay in Hotel Dormy Inn's, but it is rather basic so don't expect an extravagant design. The ramen as always was great and the breakfast offered lots of diverse options that were all very tasty!

For onsen I thought it was rather spa feel with music played in the changing room and onsen area. The onsen was clean with sufficient amenities with free washing included in the female toilet. For dryer you need to pay 100yen which is very reasonable.

First time trying out the Dormy Inn range. It’s really good except the aircon is not cold enough even though we have adjusted the temperature to the lowest. We have contacted the maintenance staff to take a look but he mentioned that that’s the coldest they could offer. Location - it’s opposite the new Chinatown. So if you arrived in this city via the bus terminal like us, you will need to take a transport train or walk to Chinatown. Anyway we have taken a cab and it costed us about ¥1100. Service - good despite the aircon drama. They attended to our need though didn’t manage to solve the problem. Amenities - great. There’s onsen. You can drink yakcult and enjoy ice cream after onsen for free. Anyway even if you don’t go into the onsen and it’s there. There’s free supper which will last till 2300hrs. Whats there to complain. I will likely give Dormy Inn another chance.

Great breakfast! Unfortunately the room was not very clean full of dust on surface. Also the room smelled like a smoking room though it's a non smoking one. Onsen and late night snack were really nice.

Nice hotel with a carpark next to it. Very convenient to shop around with a lot of choices of restaurants.
