We had an amazing stay at this beautiful charming property. Very classic colonial architecture. The rooms give a cottage feel and have a beautiful view of the valley. Great hospitality and service , we were thoroughly pampered. They made special arrangements of bonfire and seating space based on our request. Food was very yummy and you will find various spots in the property to just chill n relax. Must must visit !!

My mother, husband and I visited Blue Book towards the end of Feb and we had a very special time, thanks to Shrey and the team. The property is beautiful - every corner is so well curated, aesthetic and very well maintained. The caretaking group went out of their way to make things comfortable for us whether it was accommodating our food requests or organising bonfires. The food itself was very tasty and fresh, making us feel at home. This was the perfect holiday we had hoped for to get, and out of the city bustle. A big thank you to the Blue Book team and we look forward to visiting again!

Its very rare that I write reviews... but this one was a must do. I visited Blue book this time only because I had heard from people that this new place in the hills is a must visit. And believe me- they really lived up to my expectations. From the welcome to the property, to warm hospitality, the stay and the food- everything was just perfect. The place has goegeous views, modern comforts yet a feel of the British cottage. Just the fact that rooms are not called rooms, but 'Chapters' gave everyone a great feeling to be in. Each room is unique and very tastefully done- specially the bunk bed areas (which truly looked like a kids paradise). Talking about the food- we tried the pahadi thali and believe me, the quality of their cooking was par excellence. Breakfast was a cute set up outside in the sun overlooking the gorgeous snow peaked mountains. We missed going on their hikes as we were short on time, but I guess that can be left for next time. The staff is extremely courteous and help and always ready to help. A big shout out to Chandan who was absolutely fabulous in organising anything and everything for us. Overall- a must must visit for all!

This chapter of Blue Book is quite interesting and exquisite Starting from hot wet towels when you enter to setting up food in any corner of the property they have worked on smallest of the details to make a great mental impression of the whole scenario . Mushroom Cannelloni is heavenly and a must try in their bonfire hall which gives a vintage british touch There is a games room with pool, gym equipments, table tennis and a lot more *****side a huge backyard where sun spreads like a sheet . All the rooms are named chapter wise and have been constructed accordingly, my favourite being chapter 6 if you are travelling with a group This is a very good option for families and large groups especially who want to relax white remain close to the city. Spaced out greens and library make way for beautiful sun cutting through the corners and don’t be surprised while you spot some exquisite birds chirping .

One of the most beautiful resorts built with absolute taste. There are 4 things that really stand it apart 1. The location and views: It is nestled in a very lush green spot, away from constructions. You can see Nainital on one side like a glistening on a whole mountain and far ranging mountains on the other. Monkeys was a regular sight to enjoy for the kids. 3. The architecture : As an architect myself, I can say there are very few places that are timeless. Each room (called chapter) has a different style, space, view and beauty to it. I still long to go back and spend a few more days. There are multiple outdoor spaces and niches for different groups to play, eat and enjoy. Also, everything is like a time machine - the rotary phones in the room, the classic bathroom fittings, the british era art adorned across the halls. As I said there is taste in every nook and corner if you look. 4. The activities and experiences: the trek by Hi***shu had to be the most exhilarating experience here. We did it twice, sunset and sunrise and the point is really heaven in itself. Other than that there's football, badminton and a whole lot of book readying because the blue book is a library you'd want yourself to bury in. All in all, 5 stars for everything.

I came on a solo trip to Nainital and heading back with so ***y lovely memories of my stay here which far exceeded my expectations. Blue Book at Gethia is not your typical resort but a natural paradise with a lot to offer for the nature lover and a luxury traveller alike who loves all modern comforts . Peaceful surroundings, spectacular views, old world charm and luxury in each of the 12 rooms or chapters as they are called and curated experiences in a variety of settings. Freshly cooked yummy food, nature walks, cozy nights in front of the old fireplace, just to name a few. Special shout out to the staff here, ***soor politely took care of my every need, Hi***shu’s knowledge about the local area is par excellence and I was lucky to have him accompany me on nature treks, Shrey Gupta, the owner of this place is passionate about hospitality and gives more than 100%, was great to chat with him and hear a bit more about the history of this place which was originally built in the British times and has been lovingly restored. Nanintal is only about 40 minutes away which is a nice hill station but I travelled to Pangoot which is another 2 hours away, way up the mountain where you get spectacular views of the Himalayan range and the most amazing sunset views. We even saw a huge Sambar deer on the way back to the resort! The day trip to Pangoot was arranged by Ricky from Ricky Travels! Thank you! Sukeerti from Soulful Safaris arranged my whole trip! She’s a delight to work with who paid attention to all the details that would make the trip special for me! I will definitely come back to enjoy the serene beauty here, would highly recommend Blue Book for your next stay in this beautiful part of India.

The Blue Book at Gethia is a haven for those seeking a refreshing break from the city rut. As you enter, you are greeted by the warm staff & the beautiful greens. One simply cannot miss the beautiful gardens . We stayed in chapter 6 & 7 and were pleasantly surprised to have such cozy, British era rooms with all modern amenities. Even though all staff members are very warm and helpful, special shout out to ***soor for catering to all our whims & fancies . Speaking of food, the menu is a limited limited (especially desserts) but what we consistently got was fresh & delicious food around the clock. The breakfast in the garden was the most special meal of the day, with piping hot toasts and cheese omelettes ! The owner, Shrey is a wonderful person and he truly gives in his heart and soul to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a ‘non hotel’ experience. Well done guys , big thumbs up.

We stayed here for two nights in Chapter 2 and 11 for a night each. Chapter 2 is part of the main bungalow building and maintained the charms it must have had in the yesteryears. Chapter 11 is a little away from the main building and boasts of great valley views straight from your bed. We liked Chapter 2 much more than chapter 11 as it was much larger than 11 and it had much more old age charm to our liking. Our dinners were set up outdoors in the lawns with bonfires and projector screens (or what they call netflix under the stars!). Their indian food preparation was really good in both our dinners and breakfasts. Only flaw we had in our trip was the asian food which we didn’t quite like and was too bland and flavourless. All in all if you’re looking for a place to relax away from the hustle bustle and with quite a lot of old world charm. This is your go to place!
