Best Western Plus Meridian Hotel

I booked a 3-night stay. On the first night, I found the air conditioner wasn't working; there was no air coming out at all. The room was even hotter than outside. I informed the staff, and a staff member and technician came to check, but they couldn't fix it. I couldn't change rooms because the hotel was fully booked. That night, the staff brought a fan for me to use. I paid for an air-conditioned room but ended up staying in a fan room. So, I contacted the booking platform to request a 50% refund, but I didn't receive it. For the second and third nights, the staff told me the technician had fixed it, but it still wasn't cool enough to a standard level. I still had to use the fan when sleeping. I'm very disappointed with this hotel.

Everything was great. The hotel was clean, quiet, and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and tidy, and the location was also very convenient. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would book this hotel again anytime. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

The hotel was smaller than it appeared in the photos. Honestly, the room facilities were quite old. The air conditioning unit was old and emitted a musty smell when turned on. I requested a room change and saw several other rooms, but they all had the same AC unit. There were also other issues, like fixtures coming loose in the bathroom, which I reported. Someone came to fix it, but I wonder why they don't check the room's condition beforehand.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the British Quarter, but it's best not to wander around Nairobi alone – it's unsafe. I used Uber for getting around. The hotel itself is decent, the staff are very friendly, they might ask you 10 times a day if everything is alright 😊. The breakfasts are hearty and varied, and you can get tea or coffee in the lounge area throughout the day.

The breakfast was delicious, and I had a very comfortable stay. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the location was great too.
