Excellent eco-resort in a beautiful setting with friendly and helpful staff (and cute dogs and cat). Very relaxing especially to watch whales swim by during breakfast. Delicious food. Highly recommend! Lots of possibilities for water sports: diving, snorkeling, swimming, etc.

My two night stay at Nuarro was unforgettable adventure filled with relaxation and exploration. The lodge offers a clean eco - friendly chalets nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking the azure ocean. The dining experience at Nuarro is also a highlight, with a menu featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a fusion of international and local flavors. I really enjoyed every moment!

In August last year we enjoyed the most amazing holiday at the Eco friendly Nuarra Lodge, Memba, Mozambique. We enjoyed beautiful and very clean lodges with amazing sea views, and were very well looked after by Tim and Treya. They were so amazing and tried so hard to please us in every way.The food was excellent and in particular the sea food which was prepared and presented in a most proffessional way, sometimes on the beach under the moon or sun. The clear warm waters of the Indian ocean are just a couple of steps away giving amazing safe swimming and world class scuba diving. The staff were also very friendly and pleasant. It is such a beautiful place and a life experience not to be missed Hopefully I will have the opportunity to relax and chill there in the days to come

Nuarro Beach Lodge in Mozambique is a paradise! The snorkeling, macro diving (such pretty corals & nudie branches), and whale watching are amazing. We saw whales jumping everywhere in the bay. The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. The beaches are white, sandy, and the water is crystal clear. We've been back four times and can't wait to return. Nuarro is an eco friendly lodge that offers an authentic beach experience - a true gem!

We had the most incrediboe family trip to Nuarro Lodge in August 2023. Tim and Tyeya are a fantastic management couple, who could not have done more to make sure we had an unforgettable time! The food was exceptional, every meal over delivered with fresh seafood and traditional portuguese flavours. August is amazing time to visit, as this is whale season 🐋. We witnessed these majestic humpback whales breaching in front of our rooms, every day, in the beautiful crystal-clear waters🌊. We had breathtaking views of these gentle giants from the lodge, and 🏝️ experienced the magic of nature up close in a serene and eco-friendly setting.🌞 I genuinely cannot wait to get back to this hidden Gem!

What a wonderful location, great rooms with a view, beautiful new decorated. White sandy beach, blue see and whales in the bay!! Very friendly staff, fantastic food, lovely management. We visited the nearby village with community manager Feliciano, had some beautiful snorkling trips and an amazing morning in the mangroves with canoes. A place you will never forget. We will come back!

Name: Mark. A stay: august I survived. I called prior booking to enquire about reviews I read and the response was a confirmation of their own words of magic paradise. I should have done better research. TotalEnergies has gas-winning rights in this area. They are now being charged forrelated  on their own employees (not given enough protection for personnel). The area is indeed full of tension when you drive around. I should have known. The stay itself was simple. I now can imagine, they just can’t have stuffed shelves of food as it is simply not available. If it’s not available in the surrounding 400km, then please don’t advertise with these magical dishes. Just don’t. The hygiene was poor. Toilets have no running water. Believe my word for it. Shower = max. 10 mins. In general, the staff was okay but nothing special. Just lift up the feet…. for once…..And a smile doesn’t hurt either. It actually is really expensive for what you pay. There are so many better places than Nuarro. I survived: poor food, poor hygiene and a dangerous area. Look up for yourself on the well-known search engines and decide for yourself. ****

To anybody reading the reviews, you may notice a nasty character keeps coming back under different names to leave stinky and fake reviews. Well, let me tell you the story about this rather crazy individual. He booked a stay with his girlfriend at Nuarro years ago (I think it must be around 4-5 years ago) and didn't read his email properly. Firstly, he was given a discounted rate with the usual inclusions at that time: Full Board accommodation (all meals, teas/coffees, filtered water), non-motorised activities and taxes. Exclusions were transfers, drinks, motorised activities and anything not mentioned in the inclusions. This is how it was sent to him in an email (of course, this email is still in our system). Maybe it was a language barrier, but this chap seemed to think that Full Board meant All Inclusive and they proceeded to sit on the beach every day and demolish bottles of top-shelf spirits, assuming they were included in his wonderfully discounted rate. When it came time to pay the bill, his eyes nearly popped out of his head and he was rather irate. After fighting with management, he returned to his country of origin and proceeded to slander Nuarro Lodge wherever he could. He continues to do it to this day, even taking on multiple assumed profiles here on TripAdvisor. Very sad and rather psychotic, considering this happened so many years ago! We have to wonder if he is perhaps leading an unfulfilled life. So far, everybody who has booked with us who has come across his reviews realised exactly what was happening, rolled their eyes, and decided to rather trust the multitude of excellent reviews across multiple platforms, and to come and enjoy the magnificent piece of Mozambique Nuarro is delighted to call home! See you there :) PS. I spent my own honeymoon at Nuarro and would really like to go back now, please!

Unveiling the Art of Dubious Delights, Where Michelin Dreams Dine and Die Oh, Nuarro, what a gem you turned out to be. A shining example of how reality can be so... creatively interpreted. When they said "secluded pampering," they clearly meant a back-to-basics, commune-with-nature kind of experience. Who needs basic amenities when you can have a hole in the ground and a scoop of sand for that rustic touch? It's practically a throwback to our caveman roots. The culinary experience at Nuarro is something to write home about – or perhaps something to write to a health inspector about. The Michelin-worthy delights must have taken a detour, replaced with avant-garde creations that redefine the limits of taste. Who knew that food could be an art form? Or maybe they meant "food" in the most abstract sense of the word. The accommodations, oh my, they truly have a flair for vintage décor. Threadbare sheets? Check. Mosquito net that doubles as a historical relic? Check. It's like stepping into a time capsule, a moment frozen in the annals of "wait, is this really happening?" The staff, ah, the staff. It's like they've mastered the art of subversion. One moment, they're demonstrating their impressive nose-picking skills, and the next, they're serving up your meal with hands that have clearly never seen the inside of a soap bottle. It's a hands-on experience you won't soon forget. As for the financial aspect, Nuarro has elevated overcharging to an art form that rivals the works of the greats. The drink bill reads like a dystopian novel, with each entry adding a layer of mystery to the narrative. Who needs transparent pricing when you can have a guessing game? Their commi**ent to the local community is truly heartwarming – or maybe "heartwrenching" is the more fitting term. The chambermaids, those unsung heroes, must be thrilled to contribute to the economic sustainability of the owners. It's heartening to witness such a symbiotic relationship between exploitation and disregard. And the whales – ah, the whales. Those mythical creatures that exist solely in the imaginations of Nuarro's visionaries. It's like a pilgrimage to the realm of delusion, a testament to the power of wishful thinking. In conclusion, Nuarro, you've gifted us an experience that defies reality in the most spectacular of ways. My wife's tears of joy were truly the highlight, though I suspect they were triggered by the sheer absurdity of it all. As for karma, well, it has a special place in its heart for those who manage to turn cluelessness into a thriving business model. It's been a rollercoaster of an adventure, and we're left with memories that will surely last a lifetime.
