Floral Luxury Tea House (Nanjing Tulou)

📍 Nanjiang Taxia Village | The Charm of Tea | Sleeping amidst the Scent of Tea in an Ancient Tulou Village ✨ If you're visiting Nanjiang Tulou and prefer to avoid the bustling tourist areas, this tea culture-themed guesthouse is truly delightful. It's centrally located in Taxia Village, within walking distance to Deyuan Hall. For those driving, it's a short trip to Tianluokeng's 'Four Dishes and One Soup' and Yuchang Building, making the Tulou circuit tour very convenient. They even have charging stations, making it car-friendly. The local Hakka dishes served here are all delicious (I forgot to take photos!), and the owner frequently invited us to sample tea, offering incredibly warm service.

We went there for two days with our family of four, catching the tail end of the summer vacation on August 22nd. This inn is considered quite upscale in the area, with a distinctive, antique-style building and solid, thick rosewood beds. Each floor has a leisure and entertainment area, which the kids loved. The breakfast provided was very generous, and the meals were affordable and reasonably priced, especially the savory chicken – it was delicious and highly recommended.

The service was incredibly warm and attentive, they really made us feel at home with their pick-up and drop-off service. The owner even offered us various delicious teas. The dinner was also authentic and fantastic, hitting all the marks for color, aroma, and taste. Highly recommended.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The owner and the front desk lady were both very nice. When we arrived, there weren't many people, so the lady even upgraded us to their biggest room, the Cinnamon Room. The kids were over the moon when they saw the swing and bathtub, playing non-stop. The room was so good that when we stayed at the next place, the kids actually felt a bit disappointed and unhappy… I highly recommend trying to take photos on the swing with the lights on and curtains drawn – the pictures turn out amazing! The orange accent in the curtains perfectly matches the room's design, making for super beautiful shots… Last but not least, I strongly recommend eating at the hotel. The lady's cooking isn't just good; it's absolutely fantastic! My child enjoyed it so much they didn't even want to check out, asking if we could come once a month just to eat there 😂😂😂… I recommend the salt-baked chicken, pepper and salt small river shrimp, pan-fried tofu, and stir-fried sweet potato leaves with garlic… I only remembered to take photos halfway through the meal, so please bear with the limited shots.

The entire room layout had a wonderful antique charm, and both the visual appeal and the actual experience were excellent. The front desk lady was incredibly warm and friendly. On our first day, we got lost in the mountains, and she even drove up to pick us up, which was so thoughtful. The guesthouse was very well-equipped; they had pretty much everything we could think of. The tea served at the guesthouse was also delicious. On the first floor, there were fun activities like billiards, foosball, and Go. The food was also delicious and very tasty, the fish was fresh, and the chicken was great too. All the dishes were freshly made, no pre-cooked meals, it was truly delicious! We'll definitely go back if we get the chance. The kids loved it too!

I highly recommend the 'Tea Charm' guesthouse in Taxia Village, Nanjing Tulou Tianluokeng Scenic Area. I was a bit worried about the facilities since it opened in 2021, but when I arrived, it was a pleasant surprise! You'd never guess it's that new; the environment is fantastic, the room is spacious, and all the amenities are excellent. It's clean and tidy, and the location is great too. We also had dinner there, and I was genuinely impressed by the cooking – the dishes were so fresh! Guests staying at the guesthouse get a 10% discount on food. I was even more surprised to learn that such delicious food was cooked by a young lady... and the owner makes great tea too!

You can park right outside, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The owners have their own tea plantation and factory, so you can visit and see the tea-making process. The tea itself is excellent quality. I loved the subtle tea scent in the room – it was really unique. The food in the restaurant was delicious too. There are lots of original, non-commercialized Hakka earth buildings to explore within walking distance, and it's not overrun with tourists, which is fantastic! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit the Tulou.

Everyone had a very comfortable stay; both the kids and my parents were very happy. The village scenery is also beautiful, with quaint bridges, flowing water, and charming homes. The food was also excellent. We're very satisfied and will definitely come back again.
