Lvjian Hotel (Nanjing Xinjiekou Subway Station)

I have to give a huge shout-out to the hotel's service! From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming. The room itself was excellent – clean, tidy, and well-equipped, and the bedding was super comfortable. It was very quiet at night, making for a great sleep. The breakfast spread was extensive and tasty too. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it!

The hotel's location is excellent, right above a subway station with lines 1 and 2, making it super easy to get to any attraction. The IFC food court downstairs offers a wide variety of restaurants with all sorts of dining options. The hotel is on the 9th floor, and Nanjing Dapaidang is on the 5th, but we skipped it during Chinese New Year due to the impossibly long wait. While it has many positives, the twin room's location wasn't great. There was no view to speak of, and directly below the window was the mall's air conditioning unit, which was incredibly loud when we first arrived. After dinner, the noise wasn't an issue as the AC turned off around 9 or 10 PM. If this bothers you, it's best to check with the front desk before booking, or look for a hotel on a higher floor (there are several hotels in the same building).
