The Purple Palace Nanjing

I've stayed at Zijin Villa many times, and this time was exceptionally good. Xiaoman from the lobby and Xiaosun from reservations were incredibly helpful in coordinating my room. Xiaosun and Xiao Zhao at the restaurant provided excellent service.

Ugh. A 5-star hotel, with a room rate of 500+. The room was full of flying insects. The bedsheets were all wrinkled, and when I pulled back the covers, there was disgusting hair.

I love hotels nestled in nature, and I particularly enjoyed starting my day with a stroll along the hotel's walking path, and witnessing the golden light on the lake at dusk. From my casual observation, it seems the best views are from the lake-view rooms in Zhongshan Building. I also heard there's a postpartum care center on the third floor of Jinling Building, which I found quite intriguing. The staff were all energetic and authentically 'Nanjing' in their service. In particular, the staff member who assisted me this time was tall, beautiful, and kind-hearted, promptly and thoughtfully addressing all my check-in needs, ensuring I had a wonderful night's sleep 💤. The Zijin Mountain Villa offers beautiful scenery, and staying here puts me in a great mood. The hotel is very clean, the environment is lovely, and the service is excellent. All the staff are very diligent and responsible, and Gao Gao from housekeeping was especially thoughtful. Overall, it was a good experience.

We brought our one-year-old to Nanjing and chose the Zijin Villa. I was initially worried about all the fuss with a baby, but the experience turned out to be fantastic! First and foremost, I have to commend the hotel's service. Before we even arrived, I contacted the hotel, and the staff patiently asked about our needs. Upon check-in, they had already installed bed rails in our room, which was a thoughtful detail that really made traveling with a baby so much easier for us parents. The hotel's location and environment are also a major highlight. It's right at the foot of Zijin Mountain, so the air is incredibly fresh. When you open the window, all you see is greenery, and there's a large lake nearby. We took the baby for walks by the lake in the mornings and evenings to watch the birds, and the baby absolutely loved it. Even though it was a bit hectic traveling with a small child, we felt the professional yet gentle care from the staff throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel for families with young children, and we'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Nanjing!
