"It was an absolutely great experience to stay at this hotel. Stylish, very clean and located in a beautiful place where you can enjoy a connection with nature. The staff of this hotel is extremely helpful and welcoming, polite and professional. Every one of our needs were fully satisfied. Thank you hotel team and management for this amazing experience. Best place to escape from a busy city for a few days. The thai dinner at the hotel restaurant was also very good and met all the expectations. Don't forget to prebook it in advance."

"The location is basically the center of the whole village, not far from where to go. There is also a place for children to play at the door. You can also sit on the grass at night. Room hygiene is still OK. The boss and the boss's son are very enthusiastic. Although it is hot during the day, fortunately there is air conditioning, it is not too bad. The only fly in the ointment is that it is not soundproof. Children sleep early, and there are young couples who come back late, it will be a bit noisy."

"This stay was great! The hotel has an elegant environment, clean and tidy rooms, and complete facilities. The bed was very comfortable, which gave me a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly, and Li Mingyue provided thoughtful service, making everyone feel at home from check-in to check-out. The breakfast was rich in variety and tasted very good. The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with convenient transportation around and many restaurants and snacks nearby. In short, this was a very pleasant stay and I highly recommend it to everyone! I will choose this hotel next time I come here!"

"I have chosen this hotel for several business trips. It is very close to Nanjing South Railway Station, about a ten-minute drive away. The rooms are very new, spacious and bright. There is a beautiful lake next to the hotel, and you can take a stroll along the lake at night. It is also a ten-minute drive from Jingfeng Center, close to dining and shopping. It is indeed a good choice for business travel. The most important thing is that the front desk service is very enthusiastic. Because I took the high-speed train in the afternoon, they specially extended the check-out time to 3 pm for free. It is really considerate! ! !"

"I booked the hotel by accident. I didn't expect it to be a pleasant surprise. I stayed for two days in a row. Although the room was a bit old, it was clean and hygienic. Very quiet! Wake up in the morning with fresh air and the fragrance of birds and flowers! The hotel covers a large area, the parking is very convenient, the service staff are very considerate, and it feels like coming home. I would like to mention here that the hotel provides breakfast, which cannot be said to be very rich. It is no problem to fill the stomach. The key is people. The dinner in the restaurant is great, the taste is amazing! It's not worse than the special dishes in the city! For dinner on the first day, I ordered stir-fried chives, salted duck, etc. They were so delicious! The next day, my husband still wanted to go back to the hotel restaurant to order food, and I will go there again when I have the opportunity. Unfortunately, I don’t like taking pictures, so I forgot to take a few photos as a souvenir!"

"I couldn't be more satisfied! I visited five cities in more than half a month on this trip, and I have to comment on this one. It is really rare to have such a good environment in the bustling area of Nanjing: there are large gardens in front and back, and the garden in the front is even bigger, so that the building is at least fifty meters away from the roadside. The garden in the back is also very beautiful, farther from the road, and very quiet! The room has a high ceiling and the furniture is of very good quality. It is all made of solid wood, with complete facilities and good hygiene. The corridor is very spacious. It should be a high-end hotel built in the 1930s and 1940s. It is very beautiful. The lobby waiter is also very enthusiastic and welcoming. This is the most satisfactory hotel I have stayed in in recent years, and I will definitely stay here again when I come to Nanjing next time."

When I get there, I will warmly recommend the delicious places nearby. There are also some places to visit in the surrounding area. It’s just that the Lishui area closes relatively early. "My husband and I had an amazing stay at Nanjing Central Hotel (Room 576, from 30 July to 1 August). Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the Executive Vice General Manager, Mr. Charles Hao. We didn't know he was the GM until he introduced himself after personally leading us to our room. He was humble, friendly, and lovely to chat with. He even gave us an upgrade and assigned us a newly renovated room at no extra charge. We are so grateful for such warm hospitality. The room was perfect. It was extremely clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The air conditioning was cool, the shower pressure was good, the bed was comfortable, and the smart TV was even bigger than the one we had at home! Best of all, we met sweet Pan Na, the housekeeping manager in charge of our room, who presented us with two cute animal towels. On our departure day, the hotel porter not only helped us with our heavy luggage but also protected my head with his hand as I entered the taxi. Such a gentleman! All in all, the service here is really top-notch, and we highly recommend this hotel to everyone. We will definitely return the next time we visit Nanjing."

"I chose it temporarily when I was taking my kids to participate in activities nearby. The B&B is in a community and is newly opened. The scenery outside is nice and it is quiet at night. It is a five-minute drive from Shitang Bamboo Sea. There are many farmhouses in the surrounding areas (very nice). Eat) I also saw that there is a large lawn where you can set up tents, barbecue and fly kites. The room is not large and the bathroom is quite large. You should add some chairs or coffee tables to put clothes on so that you can have a place to put the clothes you take off. The ones on the hangers There are four bathrobes. You can keep only two if you want. There is a free space for hanging coats. The breakfast is clean and hygienic and the boss made it himself. The sweet potatoes are super sweet. I even forgot to pick up my suitcase when I checked out. Thank you to the boss for helping me send it back with SF Express!"

Nanjing Accommodation Guide: Hotels and Attractions Guide

Nanjing, which is known as the "Capital of Ten Dynasties" due to its extensive historical background, is a thriving city where the past coexists with the present. This laid-back yet culturally rich city has great lodging choices for families and tourists of all stripes. From the tranquil Xuanwu Lake to the spectacular Purple Mountain, Nanjing is the ideal starting point for exploring Jiangsu province's attractions, thanks to its well-developed transit system and advantageous location along the Yangtze River. Regardless of your preference for a modern serviced apartment next to Xinjiekou's busy business district or a quaint boutique hotel in the Confucius Temple neighborhood, Nanjing guarantees every guest's comfort and convenience. The city offers visitors a singular experience by fusing revolutionary history, imperial majesty, and scenic beauty.

Nanjing and the Neighborhoods

Nanjing South Railway Station and Nanjing Railway Station are important rail transportation hubs. In addition to long-distance lines to Beijing, Guangzhou, and other important Chinese cities

The city's primary international gateway, Nanjing Lukou International Airport (NKG), links Jiangsu province to important domestic and international locations throughout Asia and beyond.

Nanjing South Railway Station and Nanjing Railway Station are important rail transportation hubs. In addition to long-distance lines to Beijing, Guangzhou, and other important Chinese cities, they provide both conventional and high-speed rail services to well-known locations including Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Huangshan.

Most hotels in central areas like Xinjiekou and Gulou provide easy airport shuttle services, while many motels near the airport offer complimentary transfers. In Nanjing's historic districts, especially those near Xuanwu Lake or the Confucius Temple (Fuzimiao), boutique hotels frequently assist visitors in setting up local transportation and day trips.

We strongly advise first-time tourists to stay along Confucius Temple Pedestrian Street or close to Xinjiekou. These neighborhoods offer great access to dining options, retail establishments, and cultural attractions while seamlessly fusing Nanjing's genuine charm with contemporary amenities. These hotels are perfect starting points for exploring the city and its stunning environs because many of them can also help with trips to neighboring attractions, including Purple Mountain, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, and the Yangtze River shoreline.

Nanjing is the ideal starting point for exploring Jiangsu province's various assets, from historic sites to breathtaking natural beauty, thanks to its distinctive blend of rich history, lively culture, and contemporary infrastructure.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

TTinaMThis is the first time I've had an absolutely 10/10 experience with any hotel. This particular hotel also outranks every other Marriott I've ever stayed at. I genuinely could not think of a single negative point. I was only in Nanjing for 2 nights, in town for a meeting, and I'm so glad I chose to stay here. Firstly, the room is exactly as advertised. Marriott hotels always have the fluffiest pillows, but this particular hotel had the most HEAVENLY pillows. The bed was so comfy that I ended up postponing my day plans just so I could sleep in! I didn't realise how desperately I needed that rest and recuperation, and am glad I chose to stay here and get what I needed. Also, this hotel does not skimp on the water - most hotels will only give you 2 tiny bottles a day, which if it's blazing hot outside, can be frustrating, especially if you want to boil water for tea/coffee in the morning. This hotel provides 4-5 complimentary bottles of water per day. In many ways, I felt like they anticipated what I'd need and would provide it before I even had the chance to ask. There is also an ironing board stowed in the room, which for me was a lifesaver as I had an important meeting. As other reviewers have mentioned, the location is indeed fantastic. I was so relieved to find that after a long train journey, I only needed to hop on the subway for 1 stop - I didn't even need to exit the building, as the hotel is located inside the mall connected to the subway station. The breakfast spread is not too bad either, with the highlight for me being the espresso machines. When I tell you this machine delivers the most divine coffee in 10 seconds, I am not kidding. It was one of my favourite things and a great way to kickstart a busy day. At check-in, the reception staff ensured they gave me all the info I needed. I noticed this is often skipped at other hotels as staff are shy or reluctant to speak in English, which results in foreign guests missing out on relevant info or complimentary perks - but the Marriott team refused to let language be an obstacle. I was glad to learn free snacks and coffee were available in the executive lounge each evening. While I was there, the executive lounge manager - I think her name is Sheila, apologies if I've gotten this wrong - took the time to introduce herself and ask if I needed anything. She was so polite and genuinely seemed to want to improve the experience for guests. To me, these small touches are what set a service-oriented luxury hotel apart from others. On my first night, I'd arrived pretty exhausted after having sat on a delayed train for hours, and I wanted to order takeaway as I didn't have the energy to go out. They have Meituan lockers positioned right at the hotel entrance, which you can unlock with your phone and collect your deliveries. Being a foreigner who doesn't understand Chinese very well, I wasn't sure how to navigate this, but the reception staff went out of their way to help me, ensuring they stayed with me until I'd collected my parcel - it was not at all necessary for them to help me so much, but they did, and I'm very grateful for that :) I spent the entire month traveling in China and so, looking back, am able to compare all of the hotels and experiences from this trip. This particular hotel ranks 10/10 for me not only because of the location, but also because of the kindness and professionalism of staff. Things can sometimes be confusing or overwhelming for foreigners, and this was the only hotel where staff didn't hesitate to rush in and offer to help, no matter how small the issue. Even the gentleman at the coffee bar in the lobby was so kind and polite - and might I add, everyone at this hotel speaks English, so they really do cater to an international crowd. Housekeeping staff too were very sweet, always greeting you and asking if you needed extra bottles of water. Thank you for a relaxing, delightful stay! I hope to come again and stay longer next time.

Was celebrating my GF birthday and send a request for a mini deco and the staff delivered. The staff spoke English, check in and check out was easy. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

DDidiaoThe service needs to be improved. Before entering the room, mineral water and slippers were placed on the floor at the door, and you had to pick them up yourself. To be honest, I have never seen such a thing in any hotel I have stayed in. Also, the night light in the room I stayed in occasionally flickered, probably because it was broken. Other aspects were ok, the room decoration style was good, and the decoration was quite new.

RRabbitLittleHotel is a little old. Receptionists is helpful. However, they are not well versed in English. So for non Mandarin speaking guests, it will be somewhat challenging to communicate with them. Hotel breakfast is so so. Nonetheless, the hotel location is very good with lots of eateries and restaurants around. Overall, the stay is ok.

JJedi TravellerHotel was very good for the area and good value for money. Key benefit was the all day dining cooked fresh in front of you. Only disappointment was that room had no window despite me booking a city view. Hotel had a kind of Las Vegas feel to it.
