Hotels near Nanjing Railway Station, Nanjing

It was already three in the morning when I landed in Nanjing. I found a hotel nearby. It was very cost-effective. It was very clean. The front desk was on duty 24 hours a day. If no one was there, you could call directly. The room was bright and clean. It was not depressing. I took a shower in the early morning and the water was still hot. There was no mirror or hook in the room, but everything else was there. It was a public toilet and public bathroom, but this one was very cost-effective. It was very convenient near the train station. If you come late or have to go early, you can stay here. I didn’t take pictures of the hotel, hahaha, there are pictures of the trip

Location - good, nearby to Nanjing train station, but need to know how to walk to hotel, go to the right exit (i went wrong exit and had to walk on road for approx 15mins). Local train/subway at doorstep. Approx 1 hour to airport by taxi. Easy to get taxi on Didi (walk to main road next to convenience shop, then book taxi) Nearby F&B - has lots of small restaurants, and a Burger King within walking distance. Also has a couple of small convenience shops around. Service - excellent and friendly front desk staff. Gave me a free breakfast upon knowing that i booked room without breakfast :). Upon check in they served a small warm cup of lemon water. Upon check out, they offer a small bottle mineral water. Room - nice layout, sink is outside bathroom and open area. As per other reviews, the cleanliness is acceptable but not 100% (not for OCD people). Amenities - toothbrush, handsoap, body wash, shampoo, etc all available Drink availability - has kettle and some tea leaves to make tea Laundry - free washer and dryer on 3rd floor to DIY your laundry Security - key card entry into hotel floor, has a security on 1st floor. Breakfast - nice small spread of local food. Has also some limited international selection like toast & eggs, and fruits. Has coffee machine and can takeaway coffee. Overall, i would use this hotel for the location and their friendly staff as well as free laundry.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the subway entrance. The subway entrance is right outside the door. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the North Square of Nanjing Station. It is very convenient to the Nanjing Museum, the Presidential Palace, and the Memorial Hall of the Victims of the Japanese Aggression. It is not far to take a taxi to other attractions if you don't want to take the subway. When I left, the train was checking tickets at the South Square, which took 10 minutes to walk. I entered the station from the North Square, but the staff asked me to check tickets at the North Square directly, which saved me a lot of walking. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but the service of the staff is really good, very enthusiastic, and always greeted with a smile. I specially chose a room with windows, which is not noisy at night, and I, who have poor sleep, can sleep well. The manager in charge of breakfast is also very enthusiastic, and it would be better if there were more types of breakfast.

The hotel is right next to the train station, opposite Xuanwu Lake, with a subway station downstairs, making travel convenient. The hotel environment is comfortable and hygienic, the bedding is clean, and the service quality of the hotel staff is particularly good. The check-in employee, Miss Wang Fei, provided very good service. Seeing that I was traveling with children, she helped me upgrade the room type. The hotel staff I met were very enthusiastic and the breakfast was delicious. I will stay in this hotel next time I come to Nanjing!

The biggest advantage is the convenience of travel. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from Nanjing Station, and it is very convenient to take the train and subway. The hotel entrance is facing Xuanwu Lake, and there is a Xuanwu Lake trail outside the door. The location is very good. The room hygiene environment and facilities are pretty good, and the free breakfast is also very good.

A friend came to visit and I booked a room for him. Overall the stay was pretty good. Although the price is very low, the price/performance ratio is very high and the room is very clean and tidy. The front desk service is also very good. Very friendly to our student party. The weather has been very nice these two days. I went to visit the sunset scenic spot in Nanjing. It is very close to Xuanwu Lake and very convenient. Next time I come to Nanjing, I will book this restaurant again. I recommend it.

The welcome at the hotel was good. At least in the evening the front-desk did not speak english, but thanks to translation apps the check-in was smooth and without any problems. The location is very convenient, ca. 5min walking away from Nanjing Railway-Station (including 2 metro lines). The breakfast was ok, breakfast times end quite early (09:30), this might be a bit inconvenient for people on holidays, who would like to sleep a bit longer. The hotel seems clearly geared towards business travelers and conferences. The room itself was overall acceptable, but quite aged! One side of the bed was very much used and gave not much support. The windows in the room although small, let in a lot of noise and could not really be closed properly anymore. The bathroom was in a usable state, but also quite run down: Shower Curtain with mold, water coming up the floor drain when showering a lot of dust underneath the sink area. So overall again just very aged. In conclusion our stay was overall ok. But the room was clearly in a much more run down state than expected from the very good reviews of the hotel. The price performance is probably ok.

Receptionist are nice and kind, they try to help or answer questions. Room is big enough for 1-2 persons Cleanness is the issue here, first I got the room with full of hair on the floor and they gave my new room. But still hair on the floor but less than the first one. Breakfast is good, I’m satisfied.

Overall, experience was quite good and service in Shangri-La live up to expectations! Location wise hotel is placed nearby metro station, walking distance around 300m. We were living on the 38 floor with good city overview. Room was clean and tidy, quite comfortable and convenient. There is a nice lobby bar with good choice of food and drinks, live music. Very wide choice of food at breakfast. There are things to mention for Shanghai-La to probably think of…firstly, breakfast time was quite crowded every day and some days we had to stand by to be seated, secondly, given the fact that it’s a five star hotel, cleanliness of breakfast area, as well as smell (ventilation wasn’t working properly) should be improved, last, but not least, we don’t understand table cleaning approach: staff moving around with a big trolley to clean up tables of the food waste just by throwing it to garbage bin while you are just a few steps away of that having breakfast, not even mentioning that there is no sorting at all, everything goes to same bins. Why not to clean the table by just removing dirty dinnerware and to do the rest in back house. With five star hotel I definitely would expect more attention to be paid for hygiene factors!

Very disappointed as the mattress in our rooms were uncomfortable,uneven and sags inthe middle.Though we asked to change the room ,the beds were still not flat so we had a backache after wokevup.It is not as our expectation for 5 star hotel.The air temperature in the room could not adjust to be cooler and it did not have good air flow in the room.
