Yunlian Ji MAX Hotel (Chaoyang Plaza Nanning Railway Station) Reviews

Today, we had an early flight, so we chose a hotel near the train station. The metro exit closest to the station didn't have an escalator going up, which is not ideal when you're lugging suitcases. More importantly, there was a serious safety hazard. When we plugged in an original Apple charger, the socket sparked and smoked, causing a power outage! Afterwards, we tried to get the hotel to compensate us for the damaged charger, but they refused. The short-haired housekeeping manager claimed we should have used an adapter, saying all outlets in the room were international standard. She told me to adapt to using an adapter? She then said mainland China's voltage is 220V, so it's incompatible. If international standard sockets still require an adapter, shouldn't there be a warning sign? And seriously! I've never heard of an adapter changing voltage; I almost laughed. Plus, Apple chargers are wide-voltage, 110V-240V... And we tried other outlets with no issue. To avoid compensating us for the charger, the housekeeping manager even said they weren't an international hotel. Yet, Ctrip and Trip.com both list them as accommodating guests from any country. You say you're not international? Are you operating illegally then? Why wasn't this mentioned at check-in? She kept saying she wasn't a professional, but no professional came to resolve the issue from morning until we checked out. They just flipped the breaker back on, which means the safety risk is still very high!! We were taught that if you break something, you compensate.
