Wyndham Sun Moon Lake

We booked 4 rooms all together to have a family gathering with our cousins. We very much liked the location as you can literally step out and there would be streets full of restaurants and shops. However, we encountered some issues in 2 of the 4 rooms with bed bugs. Both my son and my cousin were bitten, which really ruined their fun, as they were struggling with severe itchiness. We contacted the hotel and had to speak to several people, some of whom were very rude. As my cousin ended up having to go to the hospital to ensure there’s nothing more serious, the hotel should have at least offered to reimburse for the medical bill. We requested to be reimbursed not only for the medical bill, but also partial refund for the 2 affected rooms. After many contentious conversations with my cousin, the hotel offered 2 nights for one room at the Sun Moon location. This is not sufficient as most likely, we would not be going back there so soon. So, my conclusion is that although this is a nice hotel in a nice location, it is not worth staying there at almost $3000 for 4 rooms. I have travelled to over 80 countries and the customer service here is definitely not ideal.

Newest hotel at Ita Thao town. Room is amazing with view of lake, mountain and cable car (ropeway). Room came with hot tub which was nice to sit in and look at the view.

Great location, next to the Ito tribe food street. Good deal with a free upgrade to family room , very spacious with additional sofa and partial lake view.

It is a family trip. Everything is perfect with excellent location. Only drawback is that toilet and tissue paper is too rough when wiping and it is at low quality.
