Star Villa

Positives - very homely feel - sunset view from balcony - electric blanket provided - convenient location - it’s a homestay so rooms are just functional (set expectations right and you’ll be fine ) Negatives - double bed a little small (especially with a toddler in between us) - sound insulation not fantastic (besides the noise from outside the door, proximity to lobby and viewing platform can be noisy as people( especially children, running and shouting - while Villa proximity to amenities is good, it is a still a a good 7 mins walk

Big room! Nice view but we didn't get to see any stars as it was cloudy. Decent breakfast, room was comfortable!

Hotel is located in cingjing farm area and offers a really nice view at sunset hour. They don’t provide dinner so do make arrangement with your driver to get dinner elsewhere. They also offer night views for stargazing which was a pretty unique and nice touch.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting CingJing.

Really enjoyed the experience at Star Villa - especially the introductory lesson to star gazing at night. The views from the room were also really beautiful. Only minor challenge is that the driving path for cars to enter Star Villa is slightly narrow. However, most of the accommodations along QingJing have similar roads leading into the villa so don’t let it deter you!

We booked the Quad room (2 double beds) for the family. Room was the most spacious 4-person room we experienced in Taiwan (we booked 2 others). The bed was heated which was really appreciated in winter! What left an indelible mark was this experience - We had gone out to visit Qingjing Farm but had to drive back to the hotel because there was no parking available. There was also no where to wait along the narrow mountain roads. When I asked the hotel owner about the possibility of calling a taxi to get us, the owner surprised us by volunteering to send us there in his car! He was truly the perfect host and a great example of the ********* hospitality that we experienced abundantly during our trip. There was also complimentary star gazing at night organised by the hotel! Don't miss the chance to stare up into the sky!

Nice place to stay, they also run stargazing activities for guest and provide binoculars. Location is great, walking distance to food places, shops and 7-Eleven.

Very pretty villa! Was a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop as it is quite deep in, but the views from the villa were terrific. At night the host conducted a brief lesson about the stars in the sky and taught us how to see the Big Dipper and the North Star. Very beautiful! We were lucky that we stayed 2 nights as the first night the sky was too cloudy so there were no stars to be seen. Managed to spot them on our second night there.

Picked this place for the location which is about a 10 minutes brisk walk to the nearest 7 eleven. Had a great experience all around. The owners is great and very hospitable all around and accommodating to my children. They even provided activities for my children. There is even a fireplace on site which the owners offered to heat up for the guest and children to gather around at. We had a great time and would want to come back again.
