Youngquan Hostel

The hostel is located at Ita Thao Pier by ferry or bus and the roughly 5-8mins up a gentle slope. Simple and basic except for shower and hair gel and hair dryer. Fridge and water dispenser at near the entrance. Bed is comfortable and the environment is not noisy. Family mart round the corner for immediate need of food and breakfast. Near to all the tourist sites by walk, cycle or bus. Bike at NT350 and breakfast is chargeable.

If you’re planning to visit Sun Moon Lake Ropeway, staying nearby is such a good idea. There’s a cute night market just a short walk away, with plenty of local food to try. The whole area feels calm during the day and comes alive at night. Great location, good food, and the perfect vibe for a solo trip.

The cheapest place I can find in Yidashao area (I am solo traveller). The room is clean and small, but it is enough for me, a 150+ cm girl. The services are quite good, the owner helped me to deal with a lot of things! 👍👍 The hotel really near the bus station so it is very convenient. Besides, the hotel collaborates with the bicycle rental stores there, so you can rent a bike with cheaper prices.

Repeat visit to Yongquan. Room was great and bed was comfy. Had a great stay and breakfast was excellent. Sightseeing places were convenient located, taking the buses to Cien Pagoda, Xuan Zang Temple and Xuanguang Temple. Within walking distance to Ita Thao Visitor Center.

Place is clean and the things you need are accessible. Owner is very accommodating. Just be sure to use Google translate. English to Chinese (Traditional). The view is amazing as well (if you are on the upper floors. I booked a room on the 8th floor).
